Episode 18: Run Away

To the boys' relief, however, their hard work paid off in the end. Finale and Live Your Life did wonderfully on their channel.

A week had passed since they filmed it, and both covers had succeeded 10K views already. Finale had even surpassed 16K views already, and Live Your Life was just behind it.

This is what motivated the boys as they sat around a table in Yeonjun and Beomgyu's dorm and were currently sprawled all over the place with writing and rewriting Run Away.

Beomgyu and Yeonjun had their guitar and bass nearby, Kai was busy on his laptop, Soobin had a notepad laying in front of him, and Taehyun was already beginning to juggle the crumpled up pieces of paper in his hands.

"We're so stuck," he groaned.

"Not yet we are. We just have a little writer's block," Beomgyu responded.

"In other words, we're stuck."

"Fine, if you wanna put it in that way."

"At least Manager Lee accepted the suggestion," Yeonjun sighed, strumming over thr bass for a moment.

That was true.

Shortly after their Japanese covers dropped on YouTube, Beomgyu submitted their first draft of their song to Manager Lee, who read the lyrics with lots of glee. However, he and other music producers reported, the lyrics need some work so they can flow better.

Because the way they were right now? It might as well sound more like a poem than an actual song, even if it somewhat rhymes.

"Come on guys, instead of completely rewriting everything, we should work with what we already have and improve it! I'm sure we'll figure something out!" Kai added.

"That's not a bad idea," Soobin remarked.

He opened his notepad, and selected five certain pieces of paper, handing them to everyone who accepted their lyrics back.

"Beomgyu, do you remember the order?" Soobin asked.

"The what?"

"The order. You suggested a specific song structure one time, what was it again?"

"Hold up, let me think."

Beomgyu furrowed his brows as he did his best to remember the exact details, and thankfully, surprisingly, it didn't take him very long.

"In the order of Yeonjun, Soobin's snippet, Taehyun's lyrics, and finally Kai's."

"Right. Let's put them together, shall we?"

"Wow Soobin, you have good working ethnics," Taehyun complimented.

"You think so?"

"Yeah."

"I agree as well," Yeonjun chirped.

"Oh..."

A shy smile crossed Soobin's face.

"Thanks," he said, mainly looking at Taehyun's direction.

Kai cleared his throat.

"Soo... should I read?"

"You have a good speaking voice, go ahead," Beomgyu said.

"Okay!"

Kai grabbed all papers and read them thoroughly.
