5. Civil War - Latter Match

*Astryd's POV"

We arrived at the compound I led the way into the visitor's area. Lauren was behind, following me around.

"Will you wait for me here? I have to pick something in my room." I said as I gestured at her to take a seat.

"Sure, Ash." She said and made herself comfortable.

"Just a sec," I said and ran my way to my room.

"Is everyone still asleep?" I thought of seeing none still in the place. Maybe they are all in the dining area, having breakfast. But first, I have to take this to Lauren. It is a box of her stuff that was left behind before. I didn't get to throw them because I know, Lauren is so sentimental when it comes to her stuff. I pulled the box out from under the bed and carried it out into my room.

I headed back to the visitor's area where I found Lauren, chatting with Tony, Nat and Steve. Some delicate laughs came from Tony and Steve. Seeing Lauren have her sheepish laugh also made me think about who were they talking about.

I slowly approached them, holding a box that almost covered half my face. "Hello there," I said bringing in my presence. "You are all having a nice time. Have you met each other?" I sarcastically questioned eyeing Tony and Steve.

"You didn't tell, Ash, that you have incredibly cool Uncles," Lauren chuckled.

"Who told you they were my uncles? And let me clarify to you that they are not incredible. They are awful, Lauren. Trust me." I scoffed, putting down the box in front of them and dusting myself. "So, you met Lauren guys," I added and gestured to Lauren.

"Yeah, Nat introduces me," Lauren said, eyeing Nat. "And what is that?" She pointed to the box.

"Oh, some of the stuff that you left. You know...." I said awkwardly.

"Giving back stuff already? Thought you are just starting again?" Nat butted in a sarcastic tone. I eyed Nat a 'what' face as she responded with a puzzled one.

"Well, well, well... Who's this stranger?" Sam abruptly said, appearing from behind Steve who is on the way to the kitchen and then everyone follows after him. Pietro, Wanda, Vision and Rhodey.

I groaned mentally. It will be a bit messy and I will be like the main dish here. Too early in the morning to deal with this kind of stuff.

"Uhm... Guys, this is Lauren," I introduced Lauren as I pointed at her. "And this is Pietro," I pointed to Pietro who waved at Lauren as Lauren waved back shyly. I noticed Pietro's eyes sparkle. A smile formed on my face.

"Hi, I'm Sam." Sam introduced himself deliberately and lent his hand for a handshake. Normal Sam ways.

"Rhodey," Rhodey said and shook hands with Lauren too.

And there you go. Lauren has her eyes judgment thingy at Vis.

"I am Vision. Jarvis when it comes to Astryd." Vis said nodding at me as he shook hands with Lauren.

"He is bizarre," Lauren pointed at Vision who looked slightly confused. Lauren furrowed staring at me as I rolled my eyes at her and gave her an assurance smile that is fine.

"Hello, I'm Wanda," at last then Wanda introduced herself and did what the others did before her. "Nice meeting you, Lauren," Wanda added seriously.

"Okay guys, the acquaintance party is over." I am enthusiastically faking the tone. "Lauren here has a job so," I said, interrupting the moment and pulling Lauren towards me. I eyed Lauren that we must go now as she promptly understood what I am trying to assess here. I don't like how Wanda eyed me right there and how she eyed Lauren. Something her mind is cooking and I am not ready for any drama in today's breakfast.
