As the days passed in Clint's safe house, Astryd couldn't ignore the growing curiosity in her heart about the connection between Wanda and Vision. One evening, as they sat together in the quiet of their room, Astryd mustered up the courage to ask Wanda about her feelings towards Vision as this was the thought that always bothered her every time seeing the two having a moment at the corner and then they will stop when Astryd is around.
Wanda entered their room, smiling at Astryd as she sat on the chair near the desk while Astryd is already in her pj's under the duvet. Astryd just have this staring at Wanda that made Wanda tilt her head to the side, slightly squirming her lips mischievously.
"Wanda," Astryd began tentatively, her voice filled with genuine curiosity, "What do you feel about Vision? I've noticed there's something special between you two, something that goes beyond friendship."
Wanda's expression softened, and she sighed, her gaze turning distant. "Vision... he's a complicated presence in my life. We share a deep history, and there's a bond that exists between us because of the experiences we've shared. But it's more than that. There's a part of me that still likes him, Astryd. It's hard to explain but I hope you understand."
Astryd's heart sank a little at Wanda's admission, but she tried to hide her unease. She didn't want to let her jealousy overshadow their conversation. Instead, she opted for a playful approach, mustering a smile to mask her true feelings.
"...it's hard to shake those feelings completely," she replied, her voice tinged with a hint of lightheartedness. She paused, contemplating whether to share her conversation with Vision. Ultimately, she decided it was best to be open with Wanda.
"Actually, I did have a chat with Vision about what you mean to him," Astryd confessed, her eyes studying Wanda's reaction. She continued, a mischievous glimmer in her gaze, "And you know what he said? He said you're the Scarlet Witch, the love of his life, and someone he holds a deep connection with. But don't worry, I made sure to remind him that you're my girl."
Astryd's attempt at humour was met with a soft chuckle from Wanda. The tension seemed to ease slightly as Wanda reached out and squeezed Astryd's hand.
"Are you okay?" Wanda worriedly asked as she took Astryd's hand and squeezed it tightly. "I love you, Astryd. Something in me that makes me happy when you are here."
Their hands intertwined, they sat in a moment of quiet connection, finding solace in the simple act of being together. The room was filled with an unspoken understanding, a shared commitment to cherish and nurture their love.
"I love you too, Wanda," Astryd whispered, her voice carrying a soft sincerity. "You bring me happiness beyond measure. Whenever I'm with you, the world feels brighter, and my heart feels lighter. I'm grateful for every moment we have together."
Wanda reached out and gently cupped Astryd's face, her eyes filled with compassion and understanding. Astryd pouted her lips as her fluffy face on Wanda's hand, made Wanda's heart flutter with how adorable Astryd looked. This is it, on how Wanda fell for Astryd. That there are ways Astryd can make Wanda feel this way.
"Astryd, our love is unique and incomparable. Yes, I shared a bond with Vision, but what we have is different. My powers came from the stone on his forehead. That's it all started Astryd, It's special in its own right," she reassured, her thumb tracing circles on Astryd's cheek. "You bring a light into my life that no one else can, and your love fills the spaces within my heart that were once occupied by pain and loss."
Astryd's gaze softened, her heart slowly finding solace in Wanda's words. She leaned into the touch, seeking comfort and reassurance as Astryd smiled mischievously making Wanda stare at her in confusion.
