15. Civil War - Something's Gotta Give

In the same facility, Astryd is with Sharon who started to get her some words of warning and a threat which Astryd finds irritating. Though the young one is being silent for an hour and merely gave Sharon an eye to eye contact.

It seems that Astryd is annoyed with Sharon's words of warning and threat, and has been quiet for an hour while maintaining eye contact with her. It's important to remember that communication is key in any relationship or interaction, and it might be helpful for Astryd to express how she is feeling to Sharon calmly and assertively. It's possible that Sharon may have realized how her words were coming across though Astryd knew that everyone is pissed and annoyed and have their eyes on her and that made her understand them. Astryd let them have their right to be what they were feeling against her.

"What? Where's your tongue now? Have you lost it helping them? They thought you help them escape." Sharon said, leaning her body against the wall.

Astryd sat on the chair next to an office table, holding her left arm and slightly covering her bruises that only appears after she held back the chopper. She let out a deep sigh and just diverted her gaze to the people around them. The room where they are, are glass walls and she can see the next room where Tony and Nat are talking.

"I appreciate your concern, but I don't appreciate being threatened. Can we please find a way to communicate without resorting to threats?" Astryd said, looking up to Sharon whose demeanour soften.

Sharon let out a deep though frustrating sigh. "Astryd...!!! Are you listening? You are not going to escape this trouble that you are in. And you are not going anywhere because Tony's gonna....gonna send you back---"

Astryd abruptly snaps her head and turns to face Sharon. "What???!" she said and stood up. "I don't want to... He's going to get my life a living hell..." Rolling her eyes. "Though it is already, I can't just watch my team crumble. I don't want that and I really feel uncomfortable right now."

Sharon takes some steps to be in front of Astryd and places her hands on Astryd's shoulders. "I know that I can't stop you. No one will." Sharon said and started to get irritated again. "You know, you been a total asshole and acted like a teenager recently. Damn! I backed you up in this. But this is out of line, Astryd." Sharon gives up because she knows how stubborn Astryd can get. She let go of Astryd and turned around with an upset sentiment towards Astryd. "Knowing who your real mother and father are is enough for now." She sternly added. Sharon had a regret feeling about letting Astryd get into this kind of work.

"I'm sorry," Astryd muttered behind Sharon. "It leads me here, Sha. I can't get off of it now. I know it will get worse if you interfere. This is not about me. It's all about Tony and the team." Astryd added.

Sharon turns around to face her again. "That's all you got to say? Sorry? Some people died, Astryd." Sharon clarified.

Sharon is trying to warn Astryd about the potential consequences of her actions and is upset with her behaviour. Astryd, on the other hand, is defensive and dismissive of Sharon's concerns.

"I know!" Astryd cracked. "I don't waste time to help them if I know that this is going to be bad, Sharon," Astryd said. "People die every day. So don't tell me that. It happens." She rolled her eyes.

"Then what are you doing?"

"I know what I am doing." Astryd sat again on the chair.

Sharon groaned. "For fuck sake! I can't cover you with this, Okay? Do you get that? I'm done with your troubles." She said, thinking about what Everett warned her about Astryd's case if she kept on helping Steve and Bucky.

"But you're not done with being my sister, right?" Astryd looked up at Sharon and smirk a little.

Sharon rolled her eyes. "You know, I hate you when you are in trouble and I can't do anything, Astryd. You are a grown-up, so I'll leave you with it. Since I am older than you. I am still hoping that you always take my rants and help." Sharon said but deep inside no matter how upset she is with Astryd's recklessness, still, she will always help.
