THE PARTY STOOD AND stared at the new girl from across the schoolyard. They watched as they redhead skateboarded.
Jayden felt weird for doing this, but they had dragged her with them and apparently she wasn't allowed to say no.
"There's no way that's MadMax." Mike said to his friends.
"Yeah. Girls don't play video games." Will agreed.
Jayden raised an eyebrow. "Yes they do." She informed her friends.
"You're different." Lucas commented.
Her eyebrows furrowed. "The hell does that mean?" No one answered her. She was used to it, the boys seemed distracted by their own conversation. She sighed and leaned again the fence, pinching at her sweater.
"Even if they do, you can't get seven hundred fifty thousand points on Dig Dug." Dustin whispered.
"It was actually seven hundred fifty-one thousand three hundred points." Jayden corrected. The boys looked over at her, unimpressed. "But who's counting." She smiled.
Mike rolled his eyes. "Whatever, it's still impossible." He disregarded.
She sighed and turned to see the red-head again, just to admire her. Which sounded weird, but she meant it in a nice way, not a creepy stalker way.
"But her name is Max." Lucas pointed out the obvious. He sounded very desperate to meet Max in Jaydens personal opinion.
"So what?" Mike questioned, waiting for Lucas to elaborate.
