Tw - talks about death, implies ED,
but it was in the heat of the moment,
Maybe it just wasn't meant to happen,
MAX TRIED TO REMOVE herself from Jayden's grasp, which, if you knew Jayden, would be a hard mission. Her face reddened at their sleeping position. Jayden's arms wrapped around Max's middle while Max's arms were around the brunette's neck.
Then Max remembered the talk last night which made her even redder. Were they dating again? Were they still just friends... friends with benefits? Max needed an answer soon.
Max slowly wigged her arms from around Jay's neck, slipping from her grasp. She sat on the side of the couch, looking at the sleeping teens and young adults.
Vera and Lucas snuggled up while the others were scattered around the basement. She slipped her shoes on, glancing over at the sticky notes that had expertly drawn doodles on them. She smiled at the small butterflies, hearts, and stars.
It reminded her of the time Jayden would draw on Max's hand in history whenever she got bored. The pen always tickled, going over her palm. Eighth grade was the time when she had some of the best memories with Jayden, as well as the party. Max put the sticky note back and stood up, but an arm grabbed hers.
"Wait for me." Jayden whispered, tiredly.
Max shook her head, "JJ, you need to sleep." She whispered, trying to get the girl to let back down but Jayden was defiant.
"No." She dragged out the 'O'.
After many tries to get the girl to sleep again, she gave up and let Jayden put her shoes on. Then, Max took her hand and led her upstairs where they revealed themselves to Mr. and Mrs. Wheeler.
The lady was cooking breakfast while her husband sat on a barstool with coffee in one hand and a newspaper in the other. Their youngest, Holly, sat at the small round table with a Lite-Brite in front of her.
