I just care about if that person will treat you right, and Max...

..she'll treat you right.

"MAXINE MAYFIELD, IF YOU kill us I will never ever let you hear the end of it up in heaven

"MAXINE MAYFIELD, IF YOU kill us I will never ever let you hear the end of it up in heaven." Jayden said as she held onto the locked car door tightly.

They were navigating their way to the dig sight where Hopper had broken into the tunnels.

Jayden was sat in the passenger seat with Max in the drivers, driving. Lucas was in between them, leaning on the middle console reading directions. Mike, Dustin, and Steve were in the back seat. Steve laid awkwardly between the two boys.

Steve gasped lowly in the backseat letting the kids know he had woken up. The older boy looked around, first seeing Mike. "Nancy?" He asked drowsily. Steve reached up to touch his busted nose.

Dustin grabbed his hands before he could. "No, don't touch it." He said in a quiet voice, as if he was talking to a baby. "Hey, buddy... It's okay. You put up a good fight. He kicked your ass, but I gotta give it too you, you did actually put up a good fight."

Jayden couldn't help but let out a small laugh at Dustins words.

"Okay, you're gonna keep straight for half a mile, then make a left on Mount Sinai." Lucas told Max.

Jayden heard Steve groan making her turn around. His eyes were growing wide as he slowly realized what was happening. "What's going on?" Steve questioned, panicked. "Oh, my God." He said when he saw Max in the drivers seat.

"Relax. She's driven before." Jay told him.

"Yeah, in a parking lot." Mike butted in.

"That counts! And could you not?" She told the boy before turning back to face the rode.

"They were gonna leave you behind." Dustin explained while Steve began to mutter 'Oh, my God'. "I promised that you'd be cool, okay?" Dustins voice raised when Max hit a small bump. "Woah, woah. What's going on?" Steve yelled.
Max pressed her foot down on the gas. "No! Stop the car. Slow down."
