Chapter 11: It was just a moment of weakness! (Part 1)

Savit’s POV:

It’s been week since the incident at the restaurant and in these past seven days, I have just seen Tai twice, once at the parking lot where he had come to see of one of the clients, while the second time was at the company’s monthly meeting. Not meeting each other, was something what I wanted, but still this distance did not make me happy; instead it made me restless and eager for just one look of his. And, today was the day when I could again be close to him, see him, feel him around me and breathe the same air as him. Today, me, Vit and Tai were supposed to meet an American Telecommunication company, who wanted to invest in our new project, which was a part of making Bangkok a Meta city.

It is a dinner meeting that was about to be held in private dining hall in a Korean restaurant. We were going to meet the potential investors directly at the restaurant. Vit and I were to drive separately in our respective cars, while Tai was to travel with me as he did not have own car. Well, initially he was going to go along with Vit, but I did not let it happen, I mean I just couldn’t let him spend some time, which was probably an half an hour drive alone with Vit. My heart couldn’t let it happen.

So, now it was 7 pm and we were driving towards the restaurant, as we had a 7:30 appointment with the clients. There was an awkward silence in the car, however that did not stop me from stealing glances of Tai, who was busy being cute and looking out of the window and staring at the passing by trees, buildings and street lights. Yes! The atmosphere inside the car was tense, and awkward, as we both had probably a lot to say but no one was taking the initiative, however I had no intention of breaking it because it allowed me to think more and admire the beauty without actually talking about it.

Tai’s POV:

I know was the wrong one, when I just ran away from the Sushi restaurant without much explanation, even when Mr. Savit had saved me and deserved a more formal explanation, apology and thanks. However, even when I was in the wrong and should have avoided or ignored Mr. Savit’s existence in order to spare me some embarrassment, instead what I was facing here was Mr. Savit’s ignorance towards me or so, is what I thought. Over the past week, I only had the opportunity to see him twice, which I don’t know why irritated me. I did not like the distance between us, however when I got to know that I will be travelling with Mr. Savit to our meeting destination today, my happiness knew no bounds. Why? Even I don’t have an answer to this question.

But what I didn’t expect was an awkward ride with Mr. Savit, where he would steal glances at me, thinking I am unware of it but would never take make effort to start a conversation and this made me irritated. Though, was this enough for me to take the first step? Nope! Absolutely not, even Mr. Savit has no idea how stubborn I could be, so he is now gonna face a very stubborn Tai, who is going to test his patience and see how long he lasts in his attempts of not talking to me or coming close to me.

We were now seated inside one of the private dining halls of the restaurant, which was situated right at the back of the restaurant to give privacy to the people who reserved it. There were three more people in the room excluding me, Mr. Savit and Mr. Vit, and one of the guys who was the secretary Mr. Williams, our potential investor was trying to flirt with me since the moment he laid his eyes on me. Not wanting to give up the potential client and profit of the company, I just gave a tight lipped smile to whatever he said or tried to do. Mr. Savit who was seated beside me noticed everything but chose to ignore, probably thinking of the same reason as me but it did not sit well with me, I wanted him to take a stand for me, even when I myself was very much capable of it.

An hour later,
The meeting was successful and Mr. Williams had agreed to do business with us and some Soju was ordered to celebrate the deal. I was a light weight, knowing it, I chose to just toast once and drink only one shot, but that asshole secretary of Mr. Williams’s won’t stop and kept on forcing me to have just one more and now I was on my fourth shot and I was almost drunk, very tipsy and dizzy. I knew, I had to go to the loo to vomit it out otherwise I’m done for, hence stood up dizzily to walk out of the room but what I didn’t knew was that being the trouble magnet that I am, I will be attracting that asshole towards me like a moth and land myself in a problem.
