Chapter 18: Almost...

Savit’s POV:

I knew something was wrong but Tai was not telling me. I do not understand why though? What was so difficult for him to tell me? But knowing that Tai might never approach me until the very end, I decided to take the matters in my hands. Moreover, just to be careful and keep Arisa safe, I was doing this. I was going to keep a close tab on Tai and also appoint him a secret bodyguard, because I wanted to keep Arisa safe and she loved spending time with Tai. Yes! I am doing all this only because of Arisa and also I did not want Tai to die when he is working for me, (or get hurt ever in this lifetime).

Therefore, I quickly picked up my phone and placed a call. On the third ring he picked up the phone and said,

“Hey Savit, my man. How are you?”

“I am good.”

“Well you almost forgot me after, you know……what I mean.”

“Yes. I know and I had to get out of there, from those people, to forget everything and move on.”

“I understand and that is why I am not angry with you. But how come you called me today?”

“Actually I needed your help Jay. I need you to be a bodyguard for someone, if you have still followed your passion and have ended up becoming a bodyguard.”

“Bingo! You have hit the jackpot. I did manage to become a bodyguard. So who is this person that I need take care of?”

“His name is Tai, and he is the new Marketing Head in my company.”

“Ahh….and why do I need to be his bodyguard? Is he someone special?” asked Jay.

“No. Don’t make your brain work too hard. He is just an employee but is close to Arisa and he has been acting a bit weird for the past few days, basically since his last outing with Arisa.”

“Ok and when do I need to start my job?”

“Is it possible for you to join from tomorrow onwards?”

“Well, I can but I’m already assigned to client and need to shift my task to someone else before I join you. So give me two days and I shall report to you soon enough.”

“Ok. But you better make it within two days’ time.”

Tai’s POV:

It’s been two days since the confrontation with Mr. Savit and two since, I have lost my sleep because, the stalker had been following me continuously. However, because of Arisa’s exams I had not met her yet, which was a relief but it was also problem because I did not knew if someone followed Arisa separately as well, or it is just me. I did not know what to do or whom to confront, hence I decided to at least share it with Tiraya; at least should know about it if I were to die somewhere, unknowingly in the hands of some stranger for reasons unknown.
Therefore, I decided to tell it to Tiraya during break time and ask her to be my silent supporter. I know, that I could have easily told it to Mr. Savit but come on I didn’t want to lose my only job for some unknown stalker who decided to suddenly stalk me and even put Arisa in danger. I did not have the guts to do so. Simple. That’s why Arisa was my best stake. Well, I could have also told it to Kiet but he is busy in Phuket setting up the business and I did not wanted to add another burden to his list.

At lunch time…
I deliberately took a corner table to sit down for lunch in the company cafeteria, as I did not want to gain too much attention or anyone to hear what I was talking about. However, I was proven wrong when Tiraya gathered up all the attention us by giving over expressed emotion of ‘What? Are you serious?’ Can you just believe that? I had to mutter a quiet sorry to everyone and drag her out of the cafeteria and go to the rooftop garden to continue our conversation. After telling her everything, she told me the very thing that I can’t do, which informing Mr. Savit about all this, hence I also pleaded her to keep her mouth shut, until & unless it is extremely important for her to spill it out.

It was the end of the day and time to go home now, but I was scared to step my foot of the office building scared that the mysterious guy would start following me again. Nevertheless, I had no other option but to go home, but what I wasn’t expecting was the surprise visit from Arisa. Yes! She finished her exams today and made sure to visit me as soon as possible before she went for her sleepover with her another best friend from school; her words not mine. I was about to step out of the building when she came crashing onto me hugged my legs, whining to be picked up in my arms, which I obviously did; like who can ignore such a cute goof ball after all. Not only that, she also made me go for dinner with Mr. Savit and her who was going to later drop her off at her friend’s place for the night.
Even though I was happy with Arisa coming over to meet me, it made also made me more anxious and scared. Scared for the safety of both of us. Anyways, finishing up our dinner Mr. Savit went ahead to drop Arisa, while waited for my taxi outside the restaurant. As I waited for the taxi to show up, I constantly looked here and there to see if someone was following me. Luckily, just a few seconds later, I saw my designated ride to end the day with was pulling up at corner, hence I decided to take a few step ahead and get ready to get when I almost….
