Tai’s POV:

I closed my eyes briefly to think about what I wanted. And, as I closed my eyes, I could see all those moments that I spent with Mr. Savit playing in front of my eyes, and what stood out the most was all those times, when he cared for me but never chose to speak out his feelings, or the time when decided it was better to avoid me because that’s the only way he would not bring trouble to me. And that shit hurt like crazy. I knew I loved him and would do anything to be with him, but not when he was confessing because he was high on jealousy and not his feelings. So, once I was clear with my feelings, and what I wanted, I slowly opened my eyes, and turned around to look at everyone, while their eyes were already on me, filled with curiosity, judging my every move. I took a deep breath and then answered Mr. Savit’s question.

“I, I…”

Savit’s POV:

I had somehow managed to ask Tai the question. I knew it was too sudden and no one present here would have expected this, but seeing that everyone around me was just trying to get on my nerves by being clingy with Tai, I couldn’t stop myself from taking this step. Standing here in front of Tai in anticipation of whether he would accept or reject my proposal, I feared the worst. And, finally, after those few tortuous minutes when Tai answered, my worst fear had come true. He had rejected me, and now I was going to lose him.

“I, I…can’t. I’m sorry.”

And, then he ran away from there. He went away from my sight, and I just stood there helpless, unable to do anything. And, the moment Tai ran out of the banquet, all the paps tried following him, but Vit had already asked my bodyguards not to let them follow him. I was heartbroken, but there was nothing I could do at that moment, however, there was one thing that I wanted to do at this moment, and that was to run away just like Tai, but I knew better. Hence, I tried my level best to act as if nothing happened just a few moments ago, but my parents knew better, and finally, after an hour or so, they managed to send me home.

After sometime…

Now, I lay wide awake on my bed, little Arisa asleep beside me. While I was coming back to my condo, I picked up Arisa from our house because I didn’t want to stay alone tonight. And, as I let my mind astray, my mind filled up with various thoughts, and one of them was the headlines that tomorrow’s newspapers were going to have.

‘The most eligible bachelor was outright rejected.’

‘Who was the one that rejected Mr. Savit Asnee?’

‘Mr. Richie Rich was rejected by his marketing head.’

Moreover, I can’t even imagine the hatred Tai was about to receive from my fans and all the supporters of the Asnee. I just hope that Jay followed Tai and made sure that he was safe.

Third Person’s POV:

While Savit was busy drowning in his thoughts, Tai decided to fly back home. He took the very next flight available to Phuket. He knew he had to go back home to clear his mind and stay away from Savit. And, on his way to the airport, he also applied for an indefinite leave from the company, he knew it was very irresponsible of him to do so, but for now, that was the best for him.

A few hours later…

It was now the early hours of the next day when Tai reached home, which also had a resort beside it, run by his brother Kiet and his parents. Because it was still very early in the morning, Tai decided not to disturb anyone. Hence, he quietly went and tried to get some sleep. Jai who was closely following Tai had sent a message to Savit about them being in Phuket now but also had warned him to not come here for the time being, because he knew that both of them needed some time away from each other.

A week later…

It had been a week since he was back home from Bangkok, and he had almost forgotten about things that had happened at the launch because he was busy serving customers at the resort, along with his brother. However, when he was alone in the confinements of his room, his mind always wandered off to how Savit was doing. How was the situation in Bangkok? Ever since he came here, he had switched off his phone, and somehow, his family, who might have been aware of the drama, hadn’t asked him anything yet. Wandering how his family might know? Well, it’s the world of digitalisation and news traveled faster. Just click of a button, and you know it.
