The air around you was still and quiet, not even accompanied by the quiet whir and clicks of your favorite animatronic co-worker.

Your back screamed when you sat up to look around. Laying back on it while a presumably 8 foot tall animatronic rested their head on your thighs wasn't the most particularly comfortable thing. Instinctively, you tried to roll over to ease the ache. You noticed the glowing stars in the distance were blurry. Grumbling, you patted your face, glasses nowhere to be seen.

"Moon...?" You sat up, finding him gone from your view. He seemed particularly good at that. Standing, you stretched with a quiet groan. You were a little wobbly, stuck up here on top of the play structure. Where'd be go? And how the hell were you supposed to get back down by yourself and without your glasses? You called again, your voice dry and raspy.

"Moon? Where are you...?" Still nothing. You dropped to your knees, and patted around in front of you Velma-style. Still, you couldn't find your glasses. You were praying to whatever you believed in that they hadn't fallen through the bars of the top of the structure. But there was almost no way they could've from where you were stuck while sleeping. "If you took my glasses, you're so done!" You called out across the daycare, your upset voice bouncing back at you. You decided to try crawling forwards, since Moon didn't seem to be anywhere nearby.

Maybe you could make it to the slide, and slither down. Hopefully, without falling. You barely made it ten steps away from the solid part of the structure before your hand slipped in the dark, dropping into one of the gaps. You screamed as you collapsed against the bars, your chin taking a beating. This wasn't fun, nor what you had in mind for when you woke up. You tried to army crawl further forwards, just trying to find the edge.

But the edge found you. A little too quickly, actually. You screamed as your front end tipped off the edge of the bars, and you were sent tumbling down towards the playmats. You hated heights, you really, really hated heights. Two large, dark arms circled around your torso, winding you as they yanked you out of the sky. You didn't even process when you were clinging to whoever's body it was. "Jeez, Starlight... I can't leave you alone for a second, can I?"

You gasped, trembling in his arms. Surely you wouldn't have gotten too hurt if you fell, surely. He pushed down so many thoughts of eager clinginess. He'd make a note to have you in earshot if he ever wondered off again. "A second? You were g-gone for like... ever..." You heaved, and he slowly descended to the ground.

Meeting the playmats at last, he sunk to his lap to cradle you. "I was gone for 5 minutes at most, star. I timed it. I thought you were still asleep." Your adrenaline slowly started to pipe down, any angry thoughts you wanted to throw at him soon subsided. "I was.... but when I woke up you were gone and-- Hey, do you have my glasses?" He chuckled, producing them from the infinite void you assumed was hiding behind their back, which is where they pulled most surprises.

"I didn't want you to crush them. Besides, I thought it might be incentive for you to stay put if you woke up... You're a determined thing." He pushed them onto your face, pulling his hand away when you reached up to adjust them. "I wanted to get down... I don't like heights."

"And you fell."

"And you caught me."

He shook his head lightly, the bell on the end of it jingling as he glared with lighthearted disappointment. What if he hadn't been there? It hadn't even been anything dangerous, he only left you for a few moments. "It's almost time to turn the lights back on..." You declared, tapping at your watch. It was nearing 1 PM. You were glad you hadn't slept through Sun's time out, you weren't sure what he'd think if you were gone for too long.

"There's something else I wanted to show you, Starlight. It was a surprise..." You perked, shifting in his arms to meet his big, red eyes. "Surprise? Where is it?" You tried your best not to sound too eager.
