cw mild arguments

-------------------

Calm. Sunny, stay calm. If you jump or jerk you'll wake them up. Moon snarled, commanding as Sun debated risking it all to get away the situation. They were both equally nervous about you cuddling up on them, but Sun was more prone to jumping around and panicking. Moon, however, was able to carefully turn Sun's attention to keeping you asleep.

Moony, they look so... Peaceful. Sun finally replied, tilting his head. Some of his rays were jittering and begging to extend all the way after their transformation, but were forced inwards due to the pillow. Usually the sleeping little ones look peaceful, Sun. Unless they're having a bad dream. Sun lifted his hand on the side that faced the ceiling, gingerly stroking your hair out of your sleeping face. Moon held his breath, metaphorically, when he did.

They both shared a smile, even if only one was in control. Things felt better for Moon when Sun was in front, it felt calmer... He didn't mind watching through Sun's eyes if it meant he didn't have to worry.

When you woke, you were laying against Sun's torso. Your legs hanging off the side of his lap. With much coaching from Moon, he had gently moved you to cradle in his lap while you slept. Thanks to the heavy cushioning in their pants, it was more than comfortable for you. However, when your consciousness started to seep back into you, you quickly curled in on yourself. Your stomach twisted, erupting into a fit of pangs and nausea.

Sun warbled worriedly when you groaned, shoving your cheek into his chest. Begging sleep to swallow you back into blissful comfort, but it refused. "S-Sunshine, what's wrong?"

You had been so caught up with caring for Sun and Moon's mental state, you had totally skipped lunch. And dinner. Your stomach growled loudly, only causing you to curl further in on yourself. "I-I'm fine..." You groaned, Sunny took to lifting you. You didn't even protest, seeing as sleep was obviously not taking you back.

"Not at all, Sunshine! You..." He scanned you quickly as he jumped up onto his balcony. It was nearing 5 AM, but the lights made it all feel like mid-day. You reached up, gripping at the ruffles that framed colorfully around his metallic neck. "You're famished, star!"

"Nuh-uh. I only skipped two meals." It had probably been why you were so tired at just midnight. It didn't help that the excitement of new work was leaving you restless at home. Now you were left to debate whether or not Moon was the reason you fell asleep instantly.

Sun called his tether, making sure to slow his decent to keep you from getting sick. With you still in his arms, he trotted to the middle of the daycare and looked around. You could really use a meal, but the only thing that was supplied in the daycare was snacks, Sundrops, and Moondrops. None of which were a particular good breakfast.

He thumped his foot a few times. Technically you were with him, and he could leave the daycare. "How about we go together, and get something from one of the venues in the atrium?" You rubbed your eyes, before closing them shut again. Too bright.

"Isn't it crowded? What time is it...?" Sun just barely managed to tilt far enough to catch the time on one of the computer's screen savers, "It's only 4:45 in the morning! No one should even be close to here yet." Nor would any of the venues be open...

He wasn't allowed to steal. Moon let out a very low, peculiar snarl in the back of Sun's mind. He was still awake?

You need to be charging!

Moon countered, annoyed. You need to be feeding our star.

Sun stomped, but you were too busy trying to adjust to the light to care for his sudden movements. I'm trying, but our options here aren't particularly large! Do you think they'll be okay with animal crackers and juice boxes...?
