Check settled into the wall near the bathroom's entrance hall, you had turned your attention to your phone. Clicking the small flashlight button, a beam of light hit the floor below. You settled the phone at the edge of the sink in order to better see Moon. You'd be a liar if you said you weren't a little weak stomached at the sight. Moon sat with his eyes on the ground... letting you take it all in.

Moon's faceplate was splattered with dark red blood, heavy streams pooling down his chin. His teeth were entirely covered, and in this light ... were they always that sharp? No way, right?

The blood didn't stop at Moon's face, though. The streams that ended at his chin must've dripped and splattered onto his chest. Those buttons were going to be hard to clean. The red ruffles would have to be completely replaced... his pants, too. His hands were rested in his lap, revealing that they were entirely covered in blood. Almost no crevice of his hands were clean, all drenched in now dry, sticky crimson. No wonder his caress had felt strange on your face. You turned to the mirror, but found nothing on your cheek.

Taking a sharp inhale, you composed yourself. Shaking or not, you'd clean Moon. "... Well. All of this is cleanable except your clothes." You stepped over to the sink, turning on the faucet to wet your first towel. There were tons of hand towels and soaps sitting on the counter now.

"What will we do about those, then?" He watched you as you stepped back at the sink, kneeling in front of him to start at his left hand. "I'm sure we could probably get Epper to buy you some new clothes... Or maybe I can get someone to make you some?" You didn't know many tailors that wouldn't question you for Sun and Moon's dimensions... Maybe Dimitri did?

Check looked up from his phone for a moment, "Epper did offer you a favor on his letter... He told me so."

"I still feel bad about asking him for anything." You sighed, holding Moon's hand palm-up closer to your face as you dipped the rag between the joints of Moon's fingers. Each time you did he seemed to twitch slightly. You understood... he was nervous. And you were likely poking around in his inner workings by accident.

"You shouldn't.. nn.. need to feel bad about that kind of thing." Moon spoke quietly. His voice was as soft as it could be, but brimmed with growls still. The atmosphere felt so different from the first time you cleaned him. Then again, the first time you cleaned him you weren't wiping off dead men's blood.

You thought over Moon's words for a second, then jumped in realization. Was that a whine in there? When your eyes met Moon's, he looked away instantly. Your cheeks flushed, so you furiously continued to scrub gently at his fingers, trying to get as much blood off as you could before getting a new towel. "You don't seem too happy yourself."

Moon didn't respond. He glanced at you once, but then returned his stare to the counter. You sighed, and stood to grab the next towel. Drowning it in water, you rung it out before returning to Moon.

"... Say. The other day you said you could do this yourself." You pulled his hand closer to your body, running the rag down the length of his forearm. Luckily, the blood didn't trail too awfully far up his arms. "How come you asked me?"

"I like it better when you do it." Your cheeks felt hot again. You were certain you were using cold water...right?

"R-Right... Right." You gulped, and Moon chuckled. Check shifted awkwardly.

Moon was quiet for a moment more, but your smile proved to him you liked this kind of talk. Maybe it'd make you happier? "I like how fragile you are... You're very careful with Sun and I..."
