liv and Leah were doing okay, liv had stayed at leah's for 2 days before she decided enough was enough and she had to get herself together.
leah ended up driving up to Milton Keynes and stayed at the dormer family house for the night just to make sure her girlfriend was okay. leah was dreading leaving olivia, she know that liv would be surrounded by her family but leah liked protecting someone, she liked having someone that needed her as much as she needed them.
the atmosphere in the family home was unsurprisingly quite down. Lucy greeted leah and her sister at the door but then went straight back to her room. livs mum and dad tried to show their enthusiasm for the girls arriving back but still they couldn't keep up the act very long.
liv definitely was the most okay, leah didn't know if her girlfriend wasn't being truthful about how she was feeling or she really got over it that quickly but the blonde had a feeling it wasn't the latter, and that's the reason leah was so nervous to leave Olivia.
"leah you have a match tomorrow and a flight to catch you cannot be late!" liv stated as leah was expressing her concerns of her girlfriends well-being and thinking of calling up her manager.
"but-"liv immediately cut her off. "no lee, no buts. i'm a big girl i can handle myself, i'm not letting you miss such an important game for me. so your going to get into your car drive back home pack your bag and then go to the training centre to get taken to the airport." liv was not letting leah put her career on hold even if it was just for one game for her.
leah eventually gave up and left the dormer house not before hugging the family and giving her girlfriend an extra long goodbye.
"i love you, you know that." leah whispered into livs ear.
"i am always here for you ollie, you make me feel so special and so loved and appreciated, i don't want anybody else but you. your it for me liv." olivia smiled into her girlfriends neck.
"i love you too lee, more than you could ever know." both girls had come to the conclusion a few weeks ago about the intense feeling, neither of them know the right time to say it out loud. Olivia was just glad leah took the first step. to have her know how she was really feeling left a huge smile on her face all through the rest of the day.
Olivia ended up having a sit down with her family and just talked. they all got their feelings out and it was incredibly emotional, all these extreme feeling at once almost became to much for liv but she calmed herself down and had a long chat.
Olivia had said she didn't want anything to do with the funeral and didn't even know if she wanted to attend. the family had already gathered that idea, although liv was so broken when she heard about her brothers death she didn't want to be there where his life would be celebrated in a church. it seemed wrong.
leah had also had a chat with liv once they both got inside leah's home. Olivia realised that whatever happened wasn't her fault, did she say some things that she wish she didn't? of course she did but that didn't mean that it was the reason for his passing.
leah had been the one thing keeping liv stable for these last few days and there was no way she would be able to thank her enough. but she would keep trying for the rest of their lives together.
liv was happy to get back to normal life, she had apologised profusely to all her clients who had to reschedule but they all gave her pitiful looks once she explained which she just shook off. she didn't like pity.
olivia was finally getting round to doing leah's hair which the blonde was more than excited for, liv was just happy to have a distraction.
she would do anything if it would stop her being left alone with her thoughts, these thoughts that she hadn't expressed to anyone.
Leah's game against Ajax left arsenal with a win. liv ended up calling leah as soon as the match ended to see how rafa and beth were. this ended up with beth just takiling leah's phone with her and chatting to me whilst she got her head fully checked, unfortunately it wasn't looking great for rafaelle so liv made beth give rafa the phone so she could speak to her a little.
the arsenal girls had been keeping liv in high spirits. she at least texted them all once a day to check up on each other, this has really meant a lot to Olivia. before meeting leah she had one friend now she's got multiple that all care about her well-being.
leah was getting ready for her international break, she was leaving tomorrow which is what brings her too Milton Keynes so liv can do her hair.
unfortunately liv didn't have a free day so whilst having Leah in she also had another one of her clients in at the same time, as much as this was stressing her out she was welcoming the other thoughts that were clouding her brain like when she put the women's colour on or if she had checked it to see if it was lifting.
it didn't come to anyone's surprise when Leah had started a conversation with the older women sat next to her called Marie, she had been a loyal client of Liv's since when she was in Manchester and had come up to MK to get her hair done by liv as in her words. 'the silly women couldn't get her colour right.' this made Olivia giggle at the elderly women and got started on her colour.
Leah's hair wasn't too bad, liv was only doing a deep shampoo and conditioner treatment and giving her a blow out.
"what was that for." leah splutters as she sits up in the chair to wipe her face.
"you were falling asleep." liv laughs, olivia was washing leah's hair and giving her a small massage which eventually lulled the blonde off to sleep. liv had other ideas and decided to spray her with the water.
"i'll remember that the next time your falling asleep yeah?" leah teasingly says once she sits back down.
"you do that." liv smirks and kisses leah softly on the cheek.
Marie had left a few minutes ago so the two girls now had the salon to themselves and liv blasted music through the speakers whilst making sure all the doors were locked.
"i'm gonna miss you." liv said after she had finished towel drying leah's hair.
"i'm going to miss you too but i won't be gone very long, we need the practice babe. I'm going to Australia next year we need to learn how to be without each-other." leah said as she stood up bringing the slightly smaller girl into a hug.
"i know, but i don't want to learn to be without you. i love you lee and i just wish i was glued to your side." leah giggles quietly and presses a strong kiss to the side of her girlfriends head.
"get me out the superglue and i will." she joked which got the brunette girl to eventually crack a smile.
"i love you too ollie more than you could ever know."
stood in the dim hair salon with harry styles blaring through the speakers quickly only became back ground noise for the two lovers as they quickly got lost within each other. such an odd place to find comfort but with the right person anywhere can become home.
authors note:
i really enjoyed talking with some of you through the match, i think i'm going ti be doing that more often but as promised a chapter tonight. i hope you enjoy this, i didn't want to drag out Luke's death and things because to me liv is hurt but she remembers the awful person her brother was and would rather distance herself and grieve on her own instead of celebrating and praising his life. seeing leah and rafa at the game tonight was so lovely i already know that leah will be over the moon by jordan's goal and her getting player of the match. jords deserved it more than anyone, she coming back stronger and i expect to see her in the starting 11 more often!! lotte played incredibly today and so did mana, her assist for lina was amaizng and her skills really should be praised more. i don't know about anyone else but viv seemed a bit angry in todays game hoping everything is all good with her. hoping steph is all good too!! overall incredible game for the gunners and +3points what more could you want?
Georgia's game tonight as well what a sodding incredible player she was insane.
