Greyson~
Jesus. Fucking. Christ.
I walk into my house; It's quiet. Juliette's not home. Olivia hasn't been here for days. The quiet buzzing of the ceiling fan is the only noise that fills the room.
The silence taunts me. It tells me just how alone I am.
I wish my brain could be this quiet, but there's so much to process. Boston is my brother. The sentence runs laps around my head. I refuse to believe it.
And God, Juliette has to know at some point, but how do you tell your sister that her dad was even more of an asshole than she ever thought? How do you tell her that she now has another brother, who's been out there this whole time? How do you shatter yet another piece of her normal?
I cant bring myself to do it. No matter how many times I think about it or I almost do, I can't. I've hurt enough people already. I can't have the only person left in my life want to leave too.
First my dad, then my mom, and as soon as I got close to Olivia, she left too. I am constantly pushing people away, so why let them get close at all?
"Grey?" Juliette's voice asks, walking in the door.
"Hey, you're home early." I claim, as she sets her backpack down by the kitchen island.
"Why are you here? I thought you had work." She claims.
"I didn't go."
"Did you get fired?"
"What? No of course I didn't get fired."
"Then why do you never go anymore? Ever since you brought Olivia here, you've just never gone to work. Did something happen?"
"You don't need to worry about it J."
"Where has she been anyways. I thought she was nice."
"It's nothing to do with Olivia. She is on temporary leave,"
"Why?"
"Because she is."
"Why don't you ever tell me anything? I'm not a little kid anymore."
"Because I'm trying to protect you. I don't want you getting hurt. You know that."
"Grey, this isn't fair. To either of us. You know that."
"I need to show you something," I confess, My heart racing, stomach dropping to my stomach, and knees buckling beneath me.
"What?"
"We're going on a ride." I say, a look of confusion washing over her. There's nothing I can do to make this better. I cant fix it. All I can do, is face the truth.
