Jeongin nodded, sitting up from where he'd been leaning in Seungmin's embrace.
"Great. Thank you... uh- I guess I'll start with- who was your old master?"
He cleared his throat "I don't know anything about him except that he is the only Master I remember having and we travelled alone most of the time. Sometimes he had... women. Other vampires... or human women. If they were vampires he shared me with them, to feed, but I was always... uh- falling asleep. We drove all the time. I would wake up with my head in his lap and the streetlights passing through the windshield. I don't remember a lot... I was always so tired."
Great. A loner. There would be absolutely no way to place him unless the human saw the vampire again in person and pointed him out.
"I don't know how long we were together, but I've seen snow four times so maybe a while? He was very good to me. I wasn't able to keep him fed for very long. When Master found out about my... condition... that's when he gave up on me." Innie's eyes drifted up, landing behind him, and Chan turned to see Felix and Minho coming in.
"What's going on?" Felix asked, smile dropping off his face.
"I want to know more about the human's pasts. Started with I.N here. Jeongin? Did you want to talk somewhere more private?"
The youngest shook his head, staring at Minho. "No, it's fine Master. You are kind, but I don't care who hears."
"Then continue, whenever you're ready."
He watched Felix and Minho sit in the gaming chairs. They booted up the laptop but neither was turned towards it.
"Well. Master was often annoyed at me. I realize now that my condition was probably keeping him hungrier then he should've been. Sometimes he would wake me up and give me food." His dark eyes crested with tears, and he looked down, trying to blink them away. "Those were... good nights. Master would, pet my hair... tell me that I was important. I felt... like he cared about me too. But then... ugh-"
The sorrow was too much. He sobbed, stifling the sound with a tight, pale fist against his mouth. Seungmin yanked the human close, gently rubbing his shoulder.
"That's okay. You did really good." He promised in a soothing voice.
Minho made a harsh sound. Like a hiss, or a short hard sigh through his teeth.
"Did you want to tell me about your past Minho?" Chan asked, already preparing himself for the volatile reply.
"I wouldn't waste words about life on a dead sack of shit like you. You wouldn't understand."
Innie yelped loudly, ducking further into Seungmin's embrace where he started to tremble- badly.
"Okay Minho. I think you're going to have to reel it in."
"Or what?"
That couldn't stand. Chan had been through enough that evening, and having been slighted by the human once already- the second time seemed to hit even harder into his composure.
"Or I will separate you from the others until you learn to behave."
"You don't have an extra kennel, or you would've used it already to keep Jisung and I apart."
All the attempts to keep control failed, suddenly and spectacularly. Calling it a prison cell was one thing- but insinuating that they were treated no better than dogs was another entirely. "Okay Minho. You're done. Come with me."
The human set his mouth into a firm line and leaned along Felix's arm, wrapping both of his own around it and interlocking the fingers of their right hands. The freckled vampire was caught between their matching glares, at a loss of what to do. "Uh. Oh. Uh- Channie? Maybe we should-"
