Jeongin had felt out of place for most of his life. He had no family that he could remember well enough to gain comfort from, and the memories of his time at The Red Castle were frightening and horrible. Only his time with his new and previous Masters mattered. And his recent time with Jisung.

Jisung was incredibly lovable. Not like Jeongin- who had always been so sharp and strange. Jisung was adaptable and kind. He'd initiated their union himself, during the few times they both got up to get water in the middle of the day.

The first time they saw each other in the darkened hallway, they'd stared and waved but said nothing.

The next time, Jisung caught him in the kitchen, and they drank down a cup each, standing side by side in the dark.

The third time, Jisung asked him what he thought about the trial. About Chanyeol, and Minho, and Chan. About Felix's silence.

He thought about lying, but the elder's caramel gaze felt too personal. "Felix went through something bad. None of them will tell us what it was- but it's hurt him deeply. And Chan's strong enough to overcome anything... it's what makes him so... perfect. What you and Minho must've gone through is... overwhelming. Chanyeol is the scariest Master I've met in a long time. It's kind of amazing that the two of you are so normal."

Jisung scanned him, set his empty cup aside, and walked forward until he was pressing up along Jeongin's front.

"What are you-?"

"I'm sorry for hurting you before." Any further words died in the youngest's throat. "If you want, I can make it up to you."

"Oh. Uh..."

"Yeah. Talk to me."

"Whuh-why?"

"Why would I want to make it up to you? Or why am I sorry?"

"Both?"

"Because I was wrong for hitting you. It was a misunderstanding. I can see that now. The way you are? You've changed. I didn't know that you could. In fact, I would've bet against you."

"Oh."

"But you've been so sweet since then. Even when I barked at you. And through all of this. You're probably stronger than either of us. I wasn't raised in this world. You were. It's pretty impressive how normal YOU are."

"I-"

"You make us whole too, you know. Sometimes it looks like you might not know that, but you do. You make this complete."

"Jisung I- what are you talking about?"

"I was looking for you one night. That's when I noticed. I look for you now. At dinner. In the game room. When I can't sleep. I look for you."

"Really?"

From there it'd been nearly easy. Jisung shared more about himself. And whatever spark was already between them had flourished into a blaze.

Jeongin loved to kiss him. To feel his voice and breath as it mixed with his own. They'd been sharing a room for a few days, taking tentative steps forward into whatever it was they had found.

"I'm going to make them all mine." Jisung whispered, the first day they shared a bed.

"That would be so nice."

"You wouldn't be jealous?"

"Of what?"

"Having to share me?" His dark hands slid along Jeongin's face and he felt strangely beautiful beneath them.
