Leaving Changbin in the cell was much easier. Chan also put Innie and Minho in the room right next to Jisung's so they could feel closer. He could tell by the tired smiles that they'd all be getting a much better rest than usual with the new arrangements. When he got to his coffin, Felix and Seungmin were already bragging about their nights.
"I made Jisung learn the robot." The blond said, twisting one of his rabbit-plushie's ears.
"So? I got Changbin to smile."
"Innie sat in my lap." Chan grinned, climbing into his coffin.
"I touched Minho's hair." Hyunjin whispered, staring around the room.
Seungmin sat up. "You're lying."
"Nope. Want to smell my hand?"
Chan snapped his fingers. "No one is smelling hands. Come on, we've got another big night tomorrow. I got a little treat for the boys."
"What kind of treat?" Felix asked, sniffing at Hyunjin's offered hand anyway.
"You'll see."
The room that Jeongin and Minho were going to share was nice- except it only had one bed. The elder was trying to sleep on the floor but Innie was fighting him on it.
"You need to get better at this."
"At what?"
"Sharing spaces."
"You mean sharing myself?!"
"Keep your voice down. And yes, that too."
Minho clutched a pillow tight to his chest. "No fucking way. I don't have to do that with you. We shouldn't have to do that."
Innie crossed his arms. "Get on the bed Minho."
"No."
"Get on the bed right now."
"No!"
"If you yell at me again, I'll tell Seungmin you were being naughty."
It felt like he'd knocked the breath out of him. "... I'm not sharing a bed with you. I can sleep on the floor."
Innie rolled his eyes. "It's good practice. God knows you need it."
Minho basically snarled. "I want to sleep on the floor."
"Too. Bad. Get up."
They glared at each other until Minho stood and sat at the very edge of the mattress. Whatever Jeongin might do to him would be better than what a vampire might do instead.
"We don't need to touch at all, but we can be good and share so no one is uncomfortable. I can only imagine what Chan would say as your doctor if he found out you were sleeping like that."
He felt silly and childish. Of course. He'd only been looking out for him again.
"If you hug me- even in your sleep- I'm pushing you out." Minho griped anyway, sliding under the blankets and turning his back on him.
"Fine. Agreed." Innie slipped in, turning on his side too.
A chasm of empty space separated them, but Minho still felt like it was not enough.
Jisung was the only person on earth he felt comfortable being close to. Even turning his back on the younger made him feel antsy. Not to mention Jeongin was a wild card. Sometimes he spouted nonsense- but other times he'd talk like an old man, full of wisdom.
