Felix wept, clutching at his skull with both hands. He would never be able to forget what Chanyeol had shown him. The terrible things he'd DONE. He didn't know where the vampire had gone, but his thighs were cold with the absence of his heated hands, so it'd been at least a few minutes.
The images were an unstoppable onslaught. Memory after memory, flickering by so quickly it was like changing channels.
And in each one- his baby Minho. His brave bunny. Struggling. Screaming. Calling out their names.
Felix dissolved into more tears, his stomach tense and shaking, ribs hollow as an empty bell tower. How was he going to go back to the room and act normal? How was he ever going to look at Minho again without crying?
"You alright, darling?"
Felix sniffed, looking around for the voice. A vampire was watching him from the exact same place Chanyeol had been standing before. This one had a gentle smile though, his height somehow not frightening.
"No. M'not alright. I'm sorry, did you need to use this space?"
"No. I was just walking through. You're from Stray Kids. Right?"
He nodded, getting off the table and closing up the books he'd pulled out. As he started to put them away, the other vampire began to help, barely looking at him even though he'd obviously been weeping.
"Chanyeol. Right?"
Felix felt his heart jolt. "You... saw?"
"No. I can smell him. My name is Sehun. From Exo. I know it all seems tough right now, but it's going to be alright."
"Yeah." He didn't know how it could. Every second with Chanyeol was another second of Minho's personality slipping under water. Another step towards never getting him back.
"Really. It will. Why don't you hurry back to your coven? I'll put the rest of these away." He smiled again, laying a hand on top of a book Felix was about to pick up.
The kindness only made him feel like sobbing again. "Okay. Yeah. I will. Thanks." Felix said. He was trying not to cry- but it crept into his voice anyway- making it waver.
Sehun just continued, giving him a sense of privacy even though he knew he'd heard. Felix went back through the pitch-dark halls, pausing outside their door and wondering how to trick them. How to make it seem like nothing had happened.
It didn't matter anyway. As soon as he stepped in, he broke down. The smell of his lovers was too comforting and safe to keep himself on guard.
Seungmin was on him first, pulling the smaller into his arms with a disappointed tsk. Hyunjin sealed himself to his back and they whispered to each other while he let it out. When the sobs turned to huffy sniffles, Chan spoke.
"Cub?"
"Whuh-what?"
"Did he hurt you?"
Everything strained at the question- like a taut string- and he knew if he said yes- they'd find a way to kill him. "No. Scuh-scared me-e."
There was a rustle- Seungmin went to move away and Hyunjin wrapped his arms around his waist, keeping the three of them sandwiched together. "Don't." the elder whispered.
"What the fuck kind of justice is this? Isn't this supposed to be the literal center for rights? Whose rights? That asshole had been messing with us since we GOT here."
"We aren't going to retaliate back. It will only harm Minho."
Seungmin exhaled angrily, pressing all of his hair back off his forehead with both hands and staring at the high ceiling. "I hate it here. I hate this."
