Scarlett
"So, are you going to tell me where you ran off to last night? I mean, I have a pretty good idea of where."
"I went to Brody's, yes." I keep my eyes on the road as I speak.
"And?"
"And your mom is in the car Char, I don't really want to tell you everything right now." I chuckle.
I picked Char and her mom up this morning after rushing home from Brody's, quickly changing and eating some breakfast. I'm still processing last night, the way things progressed with Brody. I'm in love with him. I smile at the memory of our confessions.
"Oh please dear, I've heard a few things in my time you know."
"Mother!"
I laugh along, but I still don't feel comfortable telling Char's mom about being eaten out for the first time, which then led to us making love into the night. I'm getting all hot and bothered just thinking about it.
I clear my throat and glance over to Charlotte, who has her brows raised waiting for my explanation.
"I will just tell you this, we have fallen in love."
"Aww that is amazing." Charlotte's mom pats my shoulder from the back seat.
There is no noise from Charlotte so I briefly glance over again to her, finding her staring at me, her mouth hanging open and what looks like tears in her eyes.
"Char? Please say something?"
Flicking my eyes between the road and her while I wait to hear what she has to say.
"You love him?"
"Yeah I do."
"And he loves you?"
"Yes."
"This is amazing." Her voice wobbles at the end.
"What's wrong?"
"I'm just so happy for you Scar. You have given yourself a chance to fall in love, and then Brody comes along and wow. Just wow. I knew there was something between you both when you first met at my engagement party you know."
"Yes, I saw you two dancing together. Quite a special bond there dear." Charlotte's mom adds.
I smile as my stomach tightens, thinking back to that first night we met almost three months ago now. I've loved spending time with Brody, and I wish there was a way that I could stay longer than the summer. I know within the next week we will have to have that chat as I leave the week after Charlotte and Justin's wedding.
"Do you think we can make it work?" I blurt out, needing my best friends opinion on the matter.
"I think you can make it work yes. But you need to understand that it might be difficult and there may be a long period of time where you don't get to see each other. But, if you love each other and you don't want to lose each other then-" Charlotte shrugs her shoulders and smiles.
I hope we can make it work.

Spending the day in London with Charlotte and her mom has been great. They loved the spa I took them to, we got massages and our nails done then had lunch and did some shopping. We are currrently in a cafe grabbing a quick coffee before setting back off to Whitedale.
"Hey, I'm just going to head out and quickly call Brody while you pay."
"Sure." Charlotte smiles at me. "I love that you have Brody."
