Bet y'all didn't think that I'd sweep in almost 2 years later with an update, but here I am.

Yukio and I continued staring at Rin. Neither one of us knew what to tell him. Yukio gazed at me and I nodded hesitantly.
"Rin, Kasumi's been cursed."
"What do you mean?" Rin exclaimed angrily.
"A very strong demon must have somehow linked himself to Kasumi and is slowly consuming her."
"How do you know this?"
"Rin, it's the mark," I said as gently as wind trying not to harm a young leafy seedling as it tried its hardest to flourish in the terribly cruel world around it. The poor little seedling that only tried to grow, but was constantly faced with the unrelenting pound of rain, the thunderous roar of footsteps, and the unbearable weeds that sought to devour any hopes it had of growing to be a strong tree. The gentle wind that only blew because she had to, even though she knew it made the seedling quiver.
Rin's eyes lost their confused icy fury, and took on a sheer pain. "Why can't I see it?"
Yukio placed his hand gently on Rin's shoulder. "Many don't see it. It takes an experienced exorcist to be able to see through a demon's spell," Yukio explained in a hushed tone.
Rin's eyes darted to me and scanned me in concern. "Can I do anything?"
Yukio solemnly shook his head. I stared at him feeling my heart sink. It could kill me. What was the point of everything I was doing if I could be killed like that? One stupid bite in a dream. Who was this Asaroth asshole anyway? Why did this smelly jerk crave so much power? I had so many questions and so much anger building within me.
¨Let me find him and make him lift this curse," I growled.
¨Kasumi, he's too strong for you. You don't even know how to control your powers well or exorcise a demon," Yukio said with authority. It was like he aged 20 years.
"I need to do something. I can't just wait around waiting to die. I have a mission to complete," I said with a faltering breath, on the verge of angry tears spilling from my face.
"Kasumi, he's right," Rin said quietly. "You can't run in blinded by anger."
I felt my breathing get faster. I felt a warmth in my stomach and I was trying so hard not to puke. This couldn't be real. I still had four more princes to convince to join me. I was almost half way there.
"I'll do all the research I can. I'll ask Mephisto-"
"Don't."
"Why not? He could be a valuable source of information," Yukio argued.
"Just please don't," I begged not feeling well enough to explain that Mephisto had lied to me.
Yukio studied me and nodded. "Alright." He started walking away but turned, "everything's going to be okay," he said deeply staring in my eyes with determination and then looking at Rin.
Rin nodded, his lips in a tight line. A sudden pang of burning pain struck my hand and I held in a whimper. I looked at my hand and it was like the crescent had become darker.
"Thank you," I said, lifting my chin and straightening out my back. I couldn't cower, I couldn't be angry. I had to remain calm and be logical. I was going to go through with my plan. I wouldn't not lose to my emotions, because then I would never be able to handle my powers. Yukio left the room and Rin I were left. There was a silence in the room. Neither one of us knew what to say or do. How could we?
