Rin and I began to walk down the wall with Hoshi trotting at my feet. The girl that had made the rude remark stood at the end of the hall.
"Why'd you kill her if she was "such a good person?"
"I didn't kill her!"
"Don't pretend to be all innocent just because the exorcists are here! "
"I said that I-"
"Leave her alone!" Rin yelled. "Why is it so hard to believe her."
"What am I suppoesed to believe? She just walked away from the orphanage? I saw her dead body, I saw the message, and I saw the blood! If I were an exorcist I'd kill you on the spot!"
"That's why you could never become an exorcist. Exorcists help people. They try to make everyone happy!" Rin exclaimed in rage.
"You don't get. Now, I'll never be happy. She was the only person that was nice to me. I have no friends and no one likes me!" The girl yelled whille tears ran down her fce.
She's just like me. She's just sad and doesn't know how to show it because no one can comfort her.
I walked over to her and kneeled down. "You have to believe me, I didn't kill her, I never would," I said softly as I hugged her. "You're normal, you can easily make friends. Go compliment people instead of making rude remarks. All you have to do is manage your attitude. Remeber, I'm 15 and I just made my first real friends."
"I'll help you comfort her princess."
Hoshi went over to the girl and began licking her hand.
"I always wanted a puppy," the girl said.
"If you're good and really nice, maybe you'll get adopted by someone who has a puppy!" I said with a smile. I allowed her to pet Hoshi for a while and then we said our goodbyes.
"I'm sorry for what I've said about you. You're really nice, by the way, I'm Miharu!"
"Bye Miharu! Remember be good and nice!"
"I will!"
"Wow! You're really good with kids!" Rin exclaimed.
"Thanks!" I grinned. "Hey Rin, is that a sword you're carrying? I just noticed it."
"Yeah,I don't mean to brag, but it's a sword."
"Why do you carry it around with you?"
"I'll tell you after you tell me how you found out who I was."
"Fine," Wait until we're outside.
We climbed down the stairs while Hoshi nearly fell down the whole case.
"Stupid human things. They're out to kill me!"
Then we passed Yukio and the headmistress who were talking and signing papers.
When we finally stepped outside we put my belongings down beside a tree and sat in its shade. Then, I began telling Rin how I found out about his identity, starting from the walk to reuniting with Hoshi. Hoshi kept on adding in details that I had forgotten and Rin kept on commenting with, "What?!", "No way!", and "Seriously?" When I had finished my story Yukio still wasn't out.
"Why's he taking so long?" I asked.
"He takes everything super seriously. He has to finish everything he starts. He's always been like that," Rin shrugged.
"Oh, hey Rin, it's your turn to tell me about your sword,"
"Oh, the guy that raised me Father Fujioto gave this to me before he died. He said that it would seal my demonic powers until I drew the sword. Each time I draw the sword I turn into a full demon. He said that the sword was more important than my life and to always keep it with me. So, yeah. Anyway, that old fart was really cool. It's too bad that you couldn't meet him. " Rin sighed
