I sat up in my bed, wildly staring around.
M-my parents? They're not dead? But Mephisto told me... That can't be true. They can't possibly be alive.
"Prince of Spirits, I summon thee," I commanded.
Nothing happened.
"Prince of Spirits, I summon thee," I said again.
Still, nothing was happening.
"Prince of Spirits, I summon thee!" I exclaimed feeling myself lose hope.
I collapsed backwards into my bed. I was looking at the ceiling, thinking of how I could get answers.
Suddenly at once I thought up a plan. If he didn't come to me, I'd go to him. I sat up, filled with excitement and fear, needing to have my questions answers. I got out of bed.
"Princess?" I heard Hoshi ask.
"I need to go get answers," I said reaching my hand underneath my bed and drawing out the sword.
"You can't go alone," he told me.
"I'm not dragging anyone into this. This is my curiosity, and I don't want anyone getting hurt because of it."
"As your familiar, I'm coming along," Hoshi told me jumping off my bed and standing by my side.
I sighed, "Fine."
"At least take Rin or the Forest Prince with you."
"I'm not having the price kiss me or seduce me again, and I don't want Rin getting hurt."
"Princess, please."
"I can't."
Hoshi began to growl. "Take him."
I backed up surprised. Hoshi had never growled at me before. Hoshi quieted down and stared at me.
I let out a sigh and began putting on a shirt shirt and sweatpants. Then, I looked at Hoshi one more time. He looked as fierce as ever.
I opened my door and tiptoed to their room. I twisted the doorknob.
Good, it's unlocked.
I quietly opened the door ever so gently. I was halfway through it when he door creaked. Yukio shifted. I held my breath hoping he wouldn't wake up.
He stopped moving and began snoring. I silently entered the room and made my way to Rin.
I stood over him looking at how he was sleeping. He was adorable. I put one hand near his mouth so when he woke up he didn't be too loud. With my other hand I poked his cheek. There was no reaction from him.
He's a really heavy sleeper...
I focused my powers on an opened bottle of water across the room. I saw a gleaming sliver of water starting to come towards me. Then, I focused on Rin, and made the water fall in his face gently.
His eyes immediately opened and he sat up surprised.
"Wha-" he began but I pressed my hand down on his mouth.
I motioned him to follow me into the hall. I began walking out and I waited for him you come closer.
I closed the door quietly, and I looked at Rin.
"Listen, I need to talk to the Spirit Prince. Are you down to go with me?"
I saw his eyes examine me.
"Yeah, let me get changed and get my sword and we can go," he said tiredly.
I really hate Hoshi right now, making me wake Rin up on the middle of the night like this.
