Chapter Nine- A New Side

"Whatever, I'm Suguro," he said.

"What? Oh!" I smiled.

"Remember, if you hurt anyone I'll exorcise you myself," Suguro warned.

I thought I blew it for sure! I'm so glad that he might one day be able to be my friend!

"That's Konekomaru," Renzo said.

"Hi!" I said reaching for a handshake.

Konekomaru's hand trembled as he reached for my hand.

"Jeez, I know she's pretty but don't be so scared!" Renzo laughed.

Konekomaru laughed nervously.

"I promise on my life that I won't hurt you!" I exclaimed feeling his fear.

Oh my, can we demons sense fear? 

"Alright, I hope we can become great friends! I'm off to talk to the girls over there."

"Be careful, Izumo, the one with the weird eyebrows is a bit mean. Paku, on the other hand is kind of cute."

"Thanks Renzo," I said sticking my tongue out.

I walked over to the girls. 

"Hi! I'm Kasumi!"

"Hello," said Paku.

"Whatever," sighed Izumo.

"I hope that we can become friends!" I exclaimed.

"No, we don't need any more friends," Izumo snapped.

"Okay, then acquaintances?" I asked.

"Whatever."

"All right, It was nice talking to you."

"Bye!" Paku said as I began walking away.

It was not nice talking to her. It was not! Oh well, everyone's entitled to their own opinions. I'll go back to my seat. Class starts soon.

Class began and for P.E. it turned out that Mr. Tsubaki was allowing us to work with a demon. He explained that the reaper can read minds and will use your feelings in order to attack you. We were to go into the arena and learn how it moves.

Rin and Suguro were up first, but it looked like they were racing instead of learning how it moved. Then Suguro hit Rin and he fell. Just as the reaper was about to jump Mr. Tsubaki pulled the chain of the demon. Rin and Suguro began fighting even more. Then Renzo and Konekomaru slid down to the arena. I went with them and jumped on Rin's back.

Mr. Tsubaki called Suguro out to talk to him. Meanwhile, Renzo began explaining Suguro's dream.

"Wow! Rin! I didn't know you wanted to defeat Satan!" I gushed after Rin told Renzo.

Then Reno began explaining about the blue night.

"You've never heard about the Blue Night?" Renzo asked.

"No," Rin replied,

"Wow! You're like the only one!"

"I don't know what it is either," I said curiously.

Renzo explained with Konekomaru's help.

Suguro came back and then Mr. Tsubaki left to go see his "Kitty-cat."

"He's gone for a booty call," Izumo sighed.

"Can teachers do that?" I asked.

Rin and Suguro began quarreling again and one thing lead to another and Suguro was challanging Rin to touch the reaper.
