Chapter Eleven- The Bargain

After class ended the girl with blonde hair  that sat next to Rin and me in class bumped into me. I dropped all my books.

"I am so sorry!" she gasped loudly.

"Oh! It's fine! I wasn't looking," I laughed.

She quickly picked up the books and placed them in my hands.

She had a cute white robe on decorated in pink flowers. She also had, I believe it was called a greenman on her shoulder.

"I love your outfit!" I exclaimed. "It's so cute!"

She looked down at what she was wearing and smiled at me. "Thank you!"

I smiled back and began walking away.

"Wait! Um, do you know where Yukio is?"

"Rin and Yukio went on a mission. They told me that they'd be back by around 8. Do you want me to tell Yukio that you'd like to talk to him?"

"Oh! No, no no!" I was just wondering!" She exclaimed turning as red the heart beating furiously inside her.

"Alright," I said with a wink.

I turned around and began walking to the dorms. It was silent outside. The birds were silent as though they were holding a grudge.

I walked a little faster wanting to be in my room. Then, I could talk to Hoshi. Finally, I saw the familiar dorm and walked inside.

Hoshi greeted me eagerly. "You're back! How was school?"

"It was fine. I learned some things."

"Aren't Rin and Yukio supposed to be here?"

"They went on a mission and said that they'd be back later. Hey, Hoshi, could you tell me when that spider demon thing took you?"

"The first day that you went to school he tricked me into going like he did to you. I'm sorry that I couldn't fight him off and he took you," Hoshi whimpered with his tail between his legs.

"It's fine! Really, it's not your fault!"

"I still could have protected you."

"Hoshi it's okay! Come here," I said extending my arms towards him.

His tail wagged slightly as he came to me. I wrapped my arms around his furry neck and I heard Hoshi yip happily.

"You truly are an amazing princess."

"Hoshi, did you just speak out loud?" I asked cocking my head.

"I am a powerful demon," he said as his tail wagged so fast that it turned to a blur.

I laughed looking at Hoshi's excitement. The guys would be back in four hours and I had nothing to do... Except for think.

Why was this forest prince fighting so fiercely to kill me. Mephisto and Rin had no problem with me. Why did this forest Prince need power? He could probably just protect his forests by himself. Or... I could help him.

An amazing thought occurred to me. I could make a deal with the forest Prince that if I could work something out with Satan he would leave me alone.

"Hoshi, I'm going to make a deal with the forest Prince. Would you care to accompany me?"

"I'll do anything for you, Princess," he said bowing his head.

I took a deep breathe and wrote a note to Rin and Yukio in case I didn't return by the time they got back.

"Dear Rin and Yukio,

I've gone out with Hoshi to the forest. I'm going to make a deal with the forest Prince. If I'm not back by 12 come look for me. Please, whatever you do, don't come sooner.
