Chapter 224 - Child of The Demon

Chapter Cover: Eve as a child as her shadow revealed the horns and wings.

I stared at the man across me. I didn't think that anyone would have known my name so quickly. I have no recollection of ever meeting it in my life...thought, I could hardly remember anything from before I woke up within that tube in the room back then. Narrowing my eyes at him, I turned toward him fully, feeling my tail dancing across my thigh at the move.

"Have we met before in the past?" I asked.

"We did," the man continued, "But you hardly recognized me since I wasn't in this form."

"Why did you attack me then?" I asked him, "If you know who I am, then we must be at least allies."

That caused a strange grin to grow upon the man's face.

"Allies...," he said, "No, I doubt that we are. You see I was sent here to do something really important and it involves you."

I can still feel the magic coming from outside and it was thrumming like a violent heartbeat. It was gnawing in the back of my mind, feeling the numerous powers that were engaged into battle right about now and oddly enough...they feel familiar...almost like I knew the Source of those signature but...it their meanings still eludes me. Not wanting to think about that, I refocused my attention upon the man across me.

"Why would it involve me?" I asked, leaning my head to the side, "I have no quarrel with you."

The man only laughed.

"You mean you need a quarrel to fight against me?" he said as the purple glow of his power shining around him, "I was promised that you will be a fighter worthy of my own strength. Since I had fought against your father before, I was wondering if you were similar to him in a way."

"My...father?" I repeated, confused.

I don't think I have ever heard of my father before. Even if I did, I probably had forgotten it, just like I had forgotten everything about my life before waking up before. The man across me didn't even seem to have caught my hesitation for he attacked launching numerous blast of magic straight at my own direction, the blast tearing through the Ethernano around us, so loudly that it caused the pain in my head to increase.

I raised my hands around my face as the numerous blast hammered around me causing dust and explosion to grow around my body. I could sense him moving as he was coming toward me but I since I could sense him, I knew what to expect from him. Using my wings, which glowed with power I unleashed a large wave of gold magic power causing everything around me to be blown away as well as the dust that was around me. With the dust gone, I had a good view of the man across me and I raised my hand as golden spears materialized around me. With a yell, I launched the attack straight at him as they were as fast as lightning, causing the man to yell out as they all struck him and then causing golden magic circle to appear at the end of each of the spears.

"Heaven's Sky, Golden Repentance," I said.

The blast of golden magic caused him to yell out as his entire form was engulfed within the blast of the magic power causing the explosion to shake and destroy the already mostly destroyed hallway. I narrowed my eyes at where the man was noticing his form on the ground completely blackened by the attack that I had launched toward him. His body was covered in bruises as well from the attack.

"If you were that weak," I said, "You shouldn't have challenged me."

I turned away from him, wanting to find where Novaliasa had gone. I knew that she was my mother and if there was one person that could actually help me to make sense of this entire situation it would be her. It makes me wonder as to where she had gone actually. I would have expected her to be there when I first woke up and she would have explained what was going on...
