Above the different hues of purple orange and blue blend into the sky above the sun shinning down onto the land a black panther prowls around watching her creations.

"Bast are you sure this is a good idea?" Sekhmet questions. Tilting her head into their direction with an ominous look in her yellow eyes her bast grins at her.

"Youve seen me move mountains, part rivers and create happy ending to stories that shouldve ended darkly yet you question the life i bring into the world?" She purrs her tounge darting out over her mouth. Being a warrior goddess it was in her nature to fight back but she settles for only Scoffing at bast slight arrogance and an eye roll at her sisters passiveness literally and figuratively before she turns back down to the scene below them.

Down below a mother is nearly on the brink of conciousness as she delivers her new born but shes not phased. She knew the risk of carrying the baby she knew she could die she knew the complications that came with her child but she still pushed anyway. She knew her child was special...could change things much like her older daughter, Okoye.

As she was pushed out a bolt of lightening flashed in the backround making the power surge for a minute and an already over protective okoye run into the room. The weather mishap and lack of babies cries has everyone in the room expecting the worse until like a miracle a babies giggle is heard.

"We shall name her sekai"

10 years later

Running through the castle preparing for the return of the king, i manage to sneak away from okoye who was being to serious. Baba said its what turning 18 would do to a person but i knew the truth she was training to become apart of the dora milaje.

Everybody was running around on edge and stressed out but the king coming home was a joyous event. Picking up some of the tule i wrap myself in it and begin dancing through the chaotic women grinning when i have their attention. Unaware that it was because they had noticed i was getting stuck in the tule or how i was able to smile and be joyous in the worst situations.

A flutter in the lights makes everyone freeze and with the buzzing sensation coming from our lip tattoo we knew that only ment one thing—

King t'chaka was back home and maybe even prince N'jobu. Before im able to think any more of it im pushed toward the area of the castle where the landing dock is, my job was to distract the king if he came home early.

Giggling as i run through the tunnels i try to stay quiet once i hear the sound of the king and who i believe to be zuri speaking in hushed whispers.

"And what about his son, N'jad-

"We will speak nothing of him. Hes a half breed anyway he wouldnt fit in here. Besides he'd be nothing here in wakanda but a mfanyana. A lost boy" the king speaks.

Due to the tule being wrapped around me still when i go to take a step back i slip and fall making a oof sound gaining the two mens attention who look nervous at being caught in their tracks.

"Welcome home" i smile unaware that my physical attributes saved me, the goofy grin i displayed the innocent look in my eyes and even the tule which i was now cacooned in like a caterpillar.

"Ah little sekai— they sent you to fetch me, have they? This isnt a distraction at all" the king teases sarcasm dripping in his voice as he helps me up and i glare as much as i can though im positive hes not intimidated since he chuckles lifting me up to help me.

"Im sensing alot of sarcasm" i say crossing my arms his conversation already long forgotten as i begin telling him of things hes missed out while he was gone.

"T'challa...watch over her for me while im away at Milaje training" a young okoye ask the young prince. T'challa had actually been close with okoye from going on adventures to sparing together and often times sekai would tag along  wanting to see all the world had to offer (and her tiny crush on T'challa though if you ask her now she'd deny it).

"Watch over who, sekai? Youre being dramatic" he chuckles as he wraps his hand around a branch to pull himself higher up in the tree only to stop abruptly. Infront of him Okoye isnt moving either but thats not what stopped him its the serious look in her eyes.

"Sekai...she may be happy and joyful T'challa but she is naive, i dont want anyone taking advantage of her kind ways" she speaks stairing the boy down, even at her young age she had a sharp glare that could make a grown man quiver.

"I promise you okoye" he swears giving her the wakandan salute he was an older brother now also though his sister was only 2 he understood her wishes.

"Great race you to the top" she grins before they take off to climb the oak trees branches the fastest.

Past the valley, over the mountains through the force feild and over many seas a young boy runs into his apartment shared with his dad and uncle confused when he sees the front door is cracked open.

"Baba!" He yells seeing the lifeless body of the man, blood pooling under him and he runs to hold him. He wasnt naive enough to not know what was going on he knew he was dead though a small part of him hoped this was a prank.

Holding his dad in his arms for what could be the last time he rocks them back and forth as he calls out for help.

When minutes go by and noone comes he calls the only other person who had been in the apartment with him.

"Uncle james!"

"UNCLE JAMES!" He yells through his tears even louder feeling nothing but fear and pain. Why wasnt anyone coming?! Uncle james wouldnt leave me...leave us, right? He thinks to himself but he knew. He knew the man ran.

The door of the apartment opens wider and he feels the sadness slip away at the sight of the tall masculine figure. Wiping the tears to clear his blury vision he frowns when he sees its just his neighbor— a navy seal who had just moved in a few weeks prior.

He doesnt know how long he sits there holding his dad but eventually cops are flooding the apartment along with emt's and his nosy neighbors crowding the door way. Its not until hes pulled away by the navy seal (and of course its a fight) that he notices the panther claws in his daddys chest. His movements still along with his breath.

He doesnt know up from down, left from right or right from wrong. He doesnt know why anyone would do this... doesnt even know how this...he felt lost.
