(A/n: i hate those stereotypical friendship where the outgoing friend drags the shy friend to the club and she meets a man or gets all in her business with a man. In my T'challa voice "we dont do that here" only respecting boundaries and interest in this book)

It was amazing just how quickly time flew, 2 weeks had easily turned into three, then those three weeks turned into 2 months. The outreach centers required more time and attention that was being put into it and somehow i ended up in being the one to over look it. T'challa had promised Shuri she would over look the science center while Nakia did recruiting but the building process had no one.

I had been helping out with the layout of things, making sure the rooms were up to standards for storing vibranium and most importantly high notch security so that way not just anyone would be able to get their hands on it. We didnt need anyone else trying to follow in ulysess klaue's footsteps.

Laying the blue prints out on the table i have a few of the architects standing around i use my mouth to pull the cap off the red marker.

"So this window wouldnt work because it exposes to much" i begin circling what i had been talking about so they could understand and begin writing notes.

"We added the window because it was suppose to replace the lights. We were told to much electricity mixed with vibranium could cause a city wide black out..." one of the younger architects and only woman , June,  speaks up but she looks to immidiately regret it as if she was nervous. The 3 other guys around her send her a menacing look that rubs me the wrong way.

The dynamic of their circle is made clear to me in that moment, with her being the youngest and the only woman on the team im sure the men were very condescending to her and down right rude. So as long as she worked here, with me, i'd make sure she has as much power as possible,

"And you thought it would be best to remove lights from places that werent absolutely necessary and instead place windows?" I ask looking over the plans and circling all the dome windows.

"I told you that it was a terrible idea" one of the older men scoffs crossing his arms. He seemed to be the oldest of the group mid thirties with overly greased hair a wrinkled shirt and an ego bigger than his body.

"Its a great idea. Save energy and resources" i compliment her which makes all of the mens smug smirks fall off their faces. Her wide eyed look of panic quickly turns into joy her dimples sticking out as she smiles. "Well if you have any ideas on how to—" i begin and this time she doesnt hesitate to speak.

"Yes, how about we keep them as windows but instead make them resemble solar panels. Theres a new fabric a friend of mine created, of course its only on a miniature scale but she can create stained glass to resemble solar panels in a variety of colors" June tells me excitedly and Malika chooses this time to speak up.

"Do you think she would be willing to sign a few non-disclosures? Before we get excited there are legal matter we need to think about" Malika pitches in standing out of her chair and pulling out her tablet.

Malika had been the second heir to the border tribe after her brother Wakabi, since he betrayed the country she inhereted everything. While in wakanda her job was to keep everything contained and the rest of the world...out, That still applied here actually just on a different scale...she handled the legal matters. Everyone we worked with had to sign several contracts and go through multiple screenings before they even got to the interview process.

"Yeah of cour—" June begins nodding rapidly but the sound of a cell phone dings throughout the room. Not use to american technology i dont realize its mine until Malika nudges me. Picking up the phone i see its 3 messages from the prince.
