twenty-one.

"so.. how is this going to go?" rain asked as he, mountain, dew, and i all sat on my bed.

dew was leaned against rain against my headboard, mountain was leaning on the wall my bed was against, and i was at the foot of my bed sitting crisscrossed.

dew shrugged, leaning even further into rain as the water ghoul wrapped his arm around dew.

"what if we all just talk about what's happened so far and what we have a problem with if anything." mountain offered. i nodded, looking at dew for him to go first.

"um.. i guess i'd like more physical affection from you guys. it kinda felt like i was just there to tag along sometimes the past few days." dew shrugged. i smiled at him and nodded. "anything else?" i asked, my voice soft. dew stared at me for a moment before looking up at the two other ghouls who were looking at him as well. "i don't want there to be any serious competition for y/n." dew said, looking between mountain and rain. mountain smiled and nodded, rain humming in agreement and hugging dew tighter.

"mountain?" rain asked, looking at the earth ghoul. mountain took a moment before speaking.

"i'd like some one-on-one time with y/n every day if possible. i like hanging out with you guys but y/n's really good at recharging my social battery when we're alone." mountain shrugged. a small smile took over my face as i nodded. "that all?" i asked. "for the most part. everything else is just stuff that i think i need to work on." mountain nodded. i smiled a bit more and nodded. mountain looked over at rain, dew looking up at the water ghoul.

"the sleeping arrangements we have now are good, but.. could there be like a rotation system? i wanna snuggled into y/n's neck like dew does at least once a week." rain chuckled. "oh definitely! we could all have nights where we choose or something, right?" i offered. mountain nodded, dew humming slightly. "what's up dew?" rain asked.

"what if we have a bad day when it's someone else's turn to choose or it's someone else's day to lay on y/n?" dew asked. "i guess as long as you don't lie about having bad days all the time then you and whoever's day it is could switch and then they get your next day." i thought out loud.

"... what? sorry that was just a lot of the same words and it was hard to follow." rain said. i chuckled, shaking my head, "it's okay." i started.

"like, let's say dew has a bad day on mountain's night to lay on me. dew and mountain switch so then mountain get's dew's next night to lay on me. but if dew says the next day to you, 'rain, i had a bad day. can i lay on y/n tonight?' and you say yes, then you get dew's next next night since mountain already has dew's first one. thing will just pile up and suddenly dew is the only one laying on me every night." i explained to rain. rain hummed and nodded.

"why are we using me as an example?" dew asked, looking a bit offended. "cause you brought it up." mountain said plainly. "and before you started yelling, it's y/n's turn to talk." mountain cut dew off. dew grumbled, leaning into rain who had started to use a small amount of his abilities to calm the fire ghoul down as all of them looked at me, rain and mountain smiling softly.

"i guess all the arguments that break out because you guys want the same thing from me at the same time are a bit too stressful." i said. rain hummed, nodding. "we'll work on that, y/n. right?" mountain said, looking over at the two other ghouls. rain nodded again, dew humming in agreement.

"that's all from me." i shrugged. "and obviously if more comes up we'll have another sit down." i said. mountain nodding.

"what if we had sit downs like this every month or so? and as we all settle into the relationship more they'll become less common? like every 4 months or so." rain offered. "that's actually a really good idea." dew spoke, looking up at rain. "thank you," rain chuckled, gently head butting dew. dew grinned, leaning into rain even more if that was possible.

"yeah i think that would be really helpful. if we put it on like the 21st of every month for as long as we need it that close together, i think that would benefit us all." i said, mountain nodding along.

"glad we all agree," dew said as he sat up and grabbed my hand, pulling me into rain's lap. "now snuggles." dew demand, getting into my lap and laying against my chest. rain laughed, the sound making me smile as mountain scooted over to rain's side closest to the wall.

mountain laid his head on rain's shoulder, wrapping his arms around rain, dew, and i. dew began purring softly, rain quickly following suit as he tightened his arms around me, burying his face into my hair. my smile softened as mountain's breathing slowed down and became more relaxed, the thought of all my ghouls completely letting their guard down around me making my heart flutter.

i have the best ghouls in the world...
