A mighty change in life (Mighty ducks x reader)

9. What happened?

This happened quite often lately.

The mighty ducks are always somewhere, leaving me with one member alone. Mainly was it Nosedive that had to stay with me. He wasn't too happy to play the babysitter most of the time. After a while, we were having arguments that you could describe as a fight between relatives. Wild wing had the feeling, that he didn't have only a little brother now, but also a little sister he takes care of.

After a few weeks it got worse. Nosedive and I were having a fight every day. On the ice was it just as bad. When I tried to get better, but Wild wing's brother gets in the way. He pushed me into the nearest wall, pinning me against it. The rest of the ducks couldn't stand it anymore; Duke gave him a piece of his mind, turning it into another fight. Wild wing could see a major problem in the team. As the team captain it is his responsibility to kept them together and for that, he arranged a trip.

"Guys, we will take this weekend off."

For the ducks a rare thing to do, the teams were puzzled at their captain's decision. He told them, that it would be a good thing to get us together, especially for me and Nosedive.

Mallory thinks otherwise, "You early think that this will work?" For her, she rather stops my training and would let me go. The rest of the team doesn't agree.

Especially Wild wing, "Mallory, I am not giving up on her. I know that they will get along eventually. Maybe a weekend in the woods will cool their heads off."

"The woods? Do you really think that this is such a good idea?"

"Duke, we have to do something about this!"

This whole fight between Nosedive and me got on Wild wing's nerves. He loves his brother, but he also doesn't want me to quit either. He needs a solution...and fast. The rest of the ducks could see his worries and decided to help him out. They arranged the trip the next day. So far...everything seems to go well.

Or so they thought.

"No...absolutely not!" Nosedive refuses to go anywhere where I am. His brother tried his best to change his mind, while we were waiting outside the bunk.

"You think he will do it?" I asked Duke.

"He is the most stubborn duck I know; this is not an easy task for Wild wing."

At that moment, the door opened. Their team captain came out annoyed, "We will go without him."

"He shouldn't go against his strength of acceptance."

We all looked at Grin. Wild wing turned his back to us, "My baby brother is a hardboiled egg. He might come after us...when he stopped being a little kid."

"Grin I don't think he would ever accept me. I mean, at first he was alright with me, but then...he just...stopped. What did I do to make him so angry?" A hand grabbed my shoulder, "Don't worry N/A, I am sure it will be better soon." "I hope you are right Tanya."

Even so, I don't understand it. What is wrong with Nosedive?
