22. Changing sides

Dragaunus had trapped me inside the raptor.

He wanted me to distract the team captain, so they could catch him. Without Wild wing, they don't have anyone who leads them. As much as Wing and I don't get along, I see no reason to help the Saurian on their plan. Unaware of Chameleon's technique, he changed to Wild wing.

Once I saw him, I really had hoped to be saved, but...

"I have enough of you; we let the sheriff take care of you."

I didn't understand, "But I did everything you asked me to do."

"It doesn't matter, you are nothing but a screw up!" his words hurt badly. As much as he yelled at me, he never called me such words. Tears came to my eyes, "Why are you doing this?"

"You know what? The sheriff is too good to you. I let the Saurian deal with you."

He turned his back to me and left. Was he serious? "Wing, don't leave me here please! Wild Wing!!!" I knew running away wasn't the best option I had, but to hand me out to other aliens was far from being a simple punishment. With a wet face, Chameleon walked in smiling, "Did you change your mind by now?"

Right now, as blind as I was, I had a reason to cooperate, "Take me to your leader."

Dragaunus was rubbing his paws, as I entered the main station of the raptor. I told him that I would do anything to make Wild wing pay. The Saurian overlord was pleased, "I am glad to hear that. Welcome to your group Miss." he leaded me to a board, where he told me about his plan. Of course, he didn't tell me that he wants to conquer the word. He said he wanted to destroy the ducks for what they done to his planet. I was no expert of that was the truth, too blind to see the evil behind the Reptile. "And what is my part?" I asked, confident enough to master his demands. "Take wild wing somewhere, far away from his friends. Then take his device off him and give it to Chameleon." He said that Siege and Chameleon will stay in my sight. "Once we caught him, you return back to the ducks and pretend to be attacked by us. After that, your mission is complete."

"Sounds easy" I said out loud.

Dragaunus nodded, "Yes, easy for you."

With a teleportation device, they returned me back to the stadium. Chameleon handed me an extra piece, "Once you start your mission, contact us with this." He disappeared without a trace.

Back in the ice stadium, Mallory and Duke woke up from their deep slumber. Duke was the first to speak, "What happened? Where are we?"

I smiled innocent, "You were watching a movie, it must have been so boring that you fell asleep."

It was a lame excuse, but to my surprise, Duke actually believed it. Unlike Mallory, "But not remembering anything is sure odd." "After all this fighting for justice, you must have been really tired." She assumed that this was the case. So far, everything was back to normal.

"Hey N/A, the wash machine is bursting!!!"

Okay, maybe not all.

"Out of my way!" I yelled, seeing Duke covered in bubbles. He looked at me in disbelieve, "Don't tell me you forgot?!" As much as I have wanted to scream at him, telling the true reason for my delay...I prefer to say nothing...except, "Sorry, won't happen again."

Duke left me, heading back to Mallory, "Mell, we really have to talk to Wild wing about her. If she keeps on like that, she might burn out home while cooking."

She nodded, "Apart from that, her punishment shouldn't take that long. Wing should really talk to her."
