halloween (and hickies)

today i went to a halloween party with my friends to celebrate in advance. and so, in the spirit of halloween, i also decided to write a oneshot inspired by it. hope you enjoy <3

It was 5pm, on the Sunday of the 30th of October, and Ryujin was hosting a Halloween party for all her friends, including her girlfriend, Chaeryeong. However, Chaeryeong had also helped come up with the idea of the party - and so she was heading over a little earlier to assist with decorating the house.

The set time was for it to begin at 6pm and end at 12, however, despite setting up since the afternoon, she had left a couple things to do until closer to the time, such as putting up the porch decor.

Since it was nearing 6, she decided she'd head out to start decorating, and so she picked up the storage bin next to the front door and headed outside.

She'd went out to the store the previous weekend to purchase cheap Halloween decorations for the house, including cobwebs, spiders, and some cool fairy lights to string along the veranda. She took these lights out of the box and filled the battery pack, before hoisting herself up on a chair to weave them through the veranda's slits. Flicking on the switch on the battery pack, she stepped back to be surprised at how decent they actually looked, considering the price.

Just as she was about to start on the cobwebs, she heard a car pull up outside her house. Looking up, she saw it was her girlfriend, Chaeryeong.

"Ryeongie!!" she exclaimed, dropping her things to go greet the other.

"Hey, Ryu!" Chaeryeong laughed back, "give me a sec, I gotta get my things out of the car."

Since she arrived early, she had decided to bring a duffle so she could change into her costume closer to the start time. She also brought a couple decorations, as well as some food to eat later on.

"Hi, Mrs Lee!" Ryujin said, bowing to her girlfriend's mother from outside the car, "thank you for dropping Chaeryeong off!"

"No worries, Ryujin," Chaeryeong's mother smiled back, "have a good time, won't you girls? I'll pick you up at 12?"

"Nae, thank you eomma," Chaeryeong replied, closing the door and waving goodbye, "oh my goodness babe, sorry will I be able to rush in and put all this down? I have so much stuff."

"Not a problem, jagi, I'll take you inside," Ryujin answered, guiding her girlfriend inside.

As they climbed the stairs, Chaeryeong exclaimed at the decorations inside. "Wow, you really put a lot of effort into this, Ryu!"

Ryujin laughed in reply, "thank you! Honestly I'm surprised how good it looks, cuz it really wasn't much at all."

They walked into Ryujin's bedroom.

"Oooh, is this your costume, jagi?" Chaeryeong pointed to a costume laying on her girlfriend's bed, "the angel one?"

"Yeahh," Ryujin replied, "it's pretty fun, I hardly ever wear white stuff so I'm lowkey excited to see how people will react."

"Oh my gosh, same for me!" Chaeryeong exclaimed, jumping up and down in excitement, "except black. I can literally see in my mind Yuna obsessing over me in a devil costume."

"But I mean, fair enough," Ryujin agreed, "from the picture you sent of you trying it on I think I'm going to be obsessing over it more than her. You looked really hot."

Chaeryeong burst into laughter. "Stop it, jagi... I also know you're gonna make one gorgeous angel."

Ryujin rolled her eyes in that teasing way she always did. "Anyways, I still have to finish up setting up the cobwebs on the porch. But after that we can change into our costumes?"
