ᴛᴡ: ʙʀɪᴇꜰ ᴍᴇɴᴛɪᴏɴs ᴏꜰ sᴇʟꜰ ʜᴀʀᴍ, ᴅʀᴜɢ ᴀʙᴜsᴇ ᴀɴᴅ sᴜɪᴄɪᴅᴇElliott and I were in the kitchen popping popcorn and I couldn't help but smile thinking about how often we used to do that together. We were the designated popcorn makers when we were younger. The tiny blast of popcorn filled our ears and when my little brother turned around I grabbed his hands and swung our arms around wildly with a grin, Elliott laughed rolling his eyes but didn't let go.
We used to do this stupid dance every time we were on snack duty for our movie nights and he still remembered it.
Despite the surprise of Willem and Charlie earlier I was in a giddy mood. I was excited to watch one of Mason's favorite movies with my family, they had all watched the movies already so I was the only person who hadn't.
I was also excited to sit next to Mason too of course. Any chance to be near him made me unreasonably happy.
As Elliott and I did our dumb dance routine my mind began to wander to earlier in the day. Charlie had to of known because he was clearly helping us hide ourselves from Willem in the parking lot. He wasn't mad.
Charlie didn't care at all.
I knew eventually he was going to ask to get coffee together like he always did when he wanted to talk about things with just me, and he would either be mad then or be really happy. It seemed like something Charlie would do; be happy his best friend and ex-fiance were basically together. That was what Mason and I were, basically together even though we aren't having sex currently or kissing each other on the lips.
Elliott glanced over to the side of the kitchen and smiled lowering our arms, I looked over to see who it was, and there stood Mason with a pretty smile on his face watching us. I let go of Elliott's hands and stepped towards Mason, grabbing his. "Can I teach you our popcorn dance?" I asked and laughed nodding his head. I lifted his arms and told him to hop and switch feet which I'm sure made us look ridiculous, and the floor made a loud noise every time our feet hit the ground but we were laughing too much to care.
We were twirling as our eyes met, both glistening with amusement and contentment. He looked so beautiful in the dim light of the kitchen, his shined against his pale skin tinting it with a warmth that he didn't have normally and it darken his eyes to a deeper blue- the shade of the galaxy and the beam of glow that reflected in the corner was the only star. But with the way he was looking at me, I felt like I was the only star in his galaxy, or rather the moon as he had said so when he gave me the bracelet.
So I stopped dancing and grabbed his face with both hands and slammed my lips to his, he let out a soft sigh of relief as I pushed my tongue past the part of his lips. My lips curled into a smile against his as he ran his fingers through my messy red hair.
"That was not a part of the popcorn dance routine," Elliott said before leaving us in the kitchen.
I laughed softly and leaned my forehead against Mason's, he had to tilt his head down to reach mine since he was taller. My hands remained on his jaw and my thumbs stroked the skin under his eyes gently, "you just looked too pretty I couldn't help myself."
"We are really horrible at this no coupley stuff aren't we?" He chuckled.
"Oh please we could never be platonic," I scoffed.
