I struggled to open my eyes. My head feels like it's going to explode. I blinked twice or thrice to come back to reality.
Was that a dream?
I'm on my bed. I don't understand anything.
Arnav... he... I noticed two eyes staring at me for the past 12 seconds.
I realized that my wrists were tightly gripped by rough hands.
Chris !
"Are you okay?" He asked taking my face into his both hands. "Ar..nav" I uttered under my breath.
"Rishma.... are you okay?" He asked the same question again. "Arnav" I repeated.
I can't speak out anything else but my brother's name at this moment.
It didn't happen in a dream. It is the reality.
I let go of Chris's hands and dared to get up from the bed. But he took all his strength and put me back on the bed.
"I want to know what happened to Arnav." I said out loud. I felt wetness on my cheeks.
I tried to push his hands away again, but he held onto my shoulders and wouldn't let me move.
"There's nothing wrong with your brother Arnav. He is okay" Chris said loudly, at the same time he tried to calm me down.
"No.. I want to talk to him." I quickly got up from the bed and tried to leave.
"He is okay." He held my hands tightly.
I turned my face and looked at him. "He is okay." Chris said again.
"I want to call my Amma--" Before I could finish my words he pulled me back onto the bed.
"Relax. I told you he is fine." This time he caged me in his arms.
"I called your mom and talked to her. She is on the way to your aunts house. There is nothing to fear." He said aloud.
At first I tired so hard to escape from his tight grip, then I slowly relaxed myself.
