Chris's POV :

"Look Chris. You're talented. But we don't think you can do this role. We don't want to take the risk." The producer said.

Another audition I chose from the notices given by Rishma was that of Golden Leaf Productions.

It is an action film. What I want to do is the role of a thief. Therefore, I have to run and jump a lot.

"Sorry boy. You played your best. But..." one of the casting director hesitated to complete his words. He glanced at the producer, whether to complete his words or not.

"Since you said that there is no one to take care of you... we have to choose someone else for this role." He finished the words with difficulty. But soon his tone changed.

"But don't worry. After your health is back to normal, come to the audition we're holding and we'll definitely choose only you that day. We know you'll perform in front of the camera with aplomb no matter what role you play." He smiled.

I kept silent and looked at both of them. "You can go for now," said another casting director, striking my name slowly from the list.

They made me understand that not all filmmakers are the same.

I was not humiliated and sent away like the people at Lawrence Productions.

"Thank you for your kind behavior," I bowed my head politely.

I smiled at them and walked out from the room.
The next person walked into the room.

I stood there, watching the second door closing infront of me.

"You can't be cast into this movie. The character we told you and your moves don't match. If you don't understand the script straight away, ask, but don't act as you like. Get out." he shouted.

"Sir I read the script and performed exactly as it says." I told the director.

He leaned back in his chair and frowned.

"Oh.. is it. You come and sit in my chair and I will act in front of you. Or you taught me how to act."

He snapped his fingers in anger. I didn't say anything back. I kept my head down and listened to what he was saying.

"Isn't this the first time you've come to act in a movie? Don't try to teach me. More than that, don't talk back to someone greater than you. Come when you are ready to obey what you're told."

My eyes glued to the floor. "Get out you bastard." He yelled.

I got out of there.

The third door also closed.

I dropped each of the notices of every failed audition on the floor.
