Rishma's POV :

"I ignore you because you ignore me." I folded my arms and looked at his face.

Arnav tensed like a mouse trapped in front of a cat. Walking aimlessly back and forth on the balcony.

"Can you please stop that?" I raised my voice. "If you had walked this long on the road, you would have reached the Tamil Nadu border by now." I closed my eyes in anger.

He stopped walking, 'temporarily', and I saw beads of sweat on his forehead.

"Etta, are you okay?" I asked.

"Yeah." Saying that, he continued walking.

"It's the 24th 'yeah. Stop this weird behavior and let me know what's bothering you." I tried to be polite.

"Ponnu...." he called my name. He tries to say something, but he stops himself.

I'm not going to say a word, it's his turn to spit something out.

I looked back at the grass in the yard. The mango tress, mangoes hanging from each branch. Helicanthus elasticus covered almost the entire tree.

"Ponnu... how's your work going?"

Finally, he finished a sentence.

"Going well. I was very mean to my staff yesterday. I've never been like this." I replied staring at the raw mangoes.

"Is there a problem there?" He inquired, and this was his way of starting the main conversation.

"That's my professional problem. I don't want to talk about it here. It'll be fine. It happens in every office." I calmed down.

"Do you have any idea what's going on in your own home?"

He asked out of the blue.

I blinked for a moment and turned back.

"What do you mean?" I asked clueless.

"Do you know where your parents are leading you?" He asked again something that didn't make any sense.

"They were devastated by my sister's actions and I'm trying to get them back on track." I folded my arms.

"I am not talking about Rishiba, I am talking about you, Ponnu. Do you have any idea about your mother's plan? Do you know what father is planning for you?" He threw questions at me.

"Please Etta, I don't understand anything, please talk sense. I don't know what happened to all of you in three years. Amma is showering flowers of love on you, she is so kind to Devaki aunty, these two years you are ignoring me, most importantly, my father started asking my whereabouts. I am very confused, I think I came to the wrong address. What happened to all of you?"

Everything I had hidden for two years was openly asked. I know things change over the years, but not like this. In three years, the whole family changed.
