On August 9,2019, Colgate hockey coach Mike Harder addressed the media and fans at Class Of 1965 Arena hoping to calm down the fans ready to attack Don Vaughan and Clarkson. "Raider nation listen, we cannot be angry at Coach Vaughan for doing what he did because he just did what he felt like he needed to do." Coach Harder explained. Coach Harder said this war between Colgate and Clarkson is unreasonable and irrational and Coach said "our two schools are competitors on the ice but friends off of it. I call for peace!" Coach Harder said "now is not the time for battle, it's time for a time of communion with college hockey the way it's meant to be played and speaking of, we have a season to play!" So, can Colgate and Clarkson fans get along during the two meetings this season? We'll find out soon enough!
