After quickly disposing of Dartmouth last weekend, the defending national champions head to Lake Placid,New York to play the St. Lawrence Saints for the right to play in the ECAC Hockey championship game tomorrow. With 10:24 left in the first period, Kurtis Bartliff scored to make it 1-0 Colgate. With 2:17 left in the first period, Tylor Spink scored to make it 2-0 Raiders. Charlie Finn and Emil Zetterquist matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, 2-0 Hamiltonians it remains heading to the second period. With 8:45 left in the second period, Alex Gilmour scored to make it 2-1 Colgate. With 1:10 left in the second period, Ryan Garvey scored to tie the game 2-2. Finn and Zetterquist matched zeros for the remainder of the period so, 2-2 remains our score heading to period number three. With 4:26 left in the third period, Spiro Goulakos scored to make it 3-2 Raiders. With 1:19 left in the third period, Zach Risteau scored to tie the game 3-3. Finn and Zetterquist matched zeros for the remainder of regulation so, we'll play extra postseason hockey because of a 3-3 tie between Colgate and St. Lawrence. With 18:10 left in overtime, Tyson Spink scored to win the game for the defending national champions by a score of 4-3! Colgate and Clarkson for the ECAC Hockey championship tomorrow!
