Nightmares

You and hayes have been best friends since you can remember he was always there for you and you were always there for him, everone always told you too you'd end up together but you didn't believe them no matter how much you like him you knew he didn't like you back.

You were at your house reading really late when you looked up at the clock.
You realized it was 3am so you went to put your book away and go to sleep when you got a text from hayes.

HAYES: help😭🔫

You instantly knew something was up and got worried and knew you had to go to his house, you ran into your moms room screaming at her to take you there but she said no even after telling her it was an emergency.

You were so pissed you didn't care about the 15 minute drive distance so you started running and running to his house.

You were about 10 minutes away from his house when a car pulled up beside you.

"Need a ride somewhere" your second best friend said

"Take me to hayes house please and hurry thank you so much" you say jumping into the car. Yes you were a year younger then her so you couldn't drive yet.

"No problem anything for you" she said.

5 minutes later you were at hayes house not even bothering to knock you ran in knowing nobody was home except him. Running up to his room you slammed open the door to find hayes on his bed, his arms wrapped around his knees, you could here light sobs coming from him before he looked up realizing it was you.

You ran up to the bed crawling beside him taking his head into your hands stroking his hair lightly while also rubbing his back whispering things like "shhhhh it's ok" or "I'm here now"

When he was finally able to speak, he lifted his head off of your chest but still grasping your hands sitting right in front of you.

"The- they were after you the came for you taking you out of my arms at the park and I c-couldn't do anything about they wouldn't let me move, they harmed you kicked you punched you shot your leg and then they just l-left with you leaving me i-in the park alone c-crying" he cried stuttering with words here and there

"Nobody will ever take me from you hayes ok I'll always be here nobody is going to hurt me I promise" you say softly while staring into his crystal blue eyes

"I love you (Y/N) I couldn't live without you"

" I love you hayes I couldn't picture anyone else here right now besides you"

He leaned in kissing you softly but passionately for atleast 1 minute but you couldn't keep time with the Lightning storm going off in your stomach.
