The next morning I woke up later than normal. I looked at the bandages on my shoulder and my side. The wounds stopped bleeding but they still hurt like crazy, so I walked to my bathroom and took the bandages off. They were nothing but wounds that still had slight cuts in the beginning stage of healing now, surrounded by large bruises. I put the bandages back on with the help of Ko'lae and sat in my window again. I hadn't touched the food Lenalee brought me and wasn't planning on it either.
"Hey." Lenalee smiled as she opened my door.
"Hi." I replied. She smiled at me and I looked back to my window.
"I heard that your shirt was destroyed and wanted to take you shopping to get some clothes." She explained.
"Alright, I could use an excuse to get out and about." I replied. I grabbed my coat and slid it on, being careful not to reopen a closed wound. I followed her out of my room and saw Kanda and Daisya talking with General Nine and General Tiedoll. Ko'lae walked beside me and meowed.
"What are you planning?" I asked her. Her answer was her padding up to Kanda rubbing against his leg.
"He smells like catnip." She told me.
"Are you wearing catnip?" I asked Kanda. He looked at me confused and I walked over. I picked up Ko'lae and started to stand straight. Something hit my head and I reached up with my left arm out of habit. I winced as my shoulder moved and pulled it back down to my side. I looked up to see Kanda rubbing his chin, Daisya and the generals looking at us oddly, and Ko'lae purring. Kanda hit his chin on my head, perfect.
"Thank you for the delay." I told Kanda. I walked back to Lenalee and she led me out of headquarters and into a shop.
"You planned that. Didn't you?" I asked Ko'lae. She looked at me and nodded.
"You're impossible." I sighed. She chuckled and helped me take off my shoes. I spent hours trying on pants and shirts, all of which were black. I ended up getting half of the ones I tried on and found a few others in a new shop. I liked a top that had sleeves that reached the elbow, I would have to cut the sleeves off but other than that the shirt was fine. By the time Lenalee was done dragging me around the sun was setting.
I got back to my room and cut the sleeves on the shirt. I examined the wounds again and found that all the scars and cuts were still there but they were slightly better.
"Maybe that witch's curse is good for something." I sighed.
"You're healing quickly?" Ko'lae asked.
"Yeah, the scars aren't that bad anymore." I replied. I had new bandages and Ko'lae put them on me. I slid my shirt on and realized that the sleeves were thinner than I thought they would be. After walking out of the bathroom I threw the old bandages away and sat at the window.
"You should eat something." Ko'lae sighed.
"When was the last time I ate?" I asked.
"It's been a week and a half." She explained.
"Alright." I sighed. Finding the cafeteria was actually really easy. When I got there almost everyone at headquarters was there. I walked up to the window and was met by a man that had a permanent smile on his face and hair that was tied back in two different ponytails.
"What can I get you?" He asked me.
"Chicken and rice will be all." I said. He didn't say anything else but started cooking. I began to walk away when Lavi stopped me. The generals were sitting at a nearby table and looked at me, all I did was sigh.
"You're already walking around?" Lavi asked.
"Yes idiot. I may be female but i'm not going to treat my wound like it will kill me." I said flatly.
