The doctor came into the hallway a few hours later and shut the door behind him. I looked at him and waited for him to say something.

"How is she?" I asked finally.

"She is lucky. The nail didn't damage any of her nerves, it came close though. The burn on her back will take years to heal if it heals at all." The doctor said. I took a breath and looked at the door.

"May we see her?" I asked.

"She is resting, but yes." He said, stepping away from the door. I opened the door and walked in the room. Mimiteh was wearing a hospital gown and her blue dress was draped across a chair. She was laying on her back, the palm of her hand was wrapped in a single bandage. Her skin was still pale and she was still shaking slightly. The hospital gown was so big on her that it sat on her left shoulder and fell down her right arm half way to her elbow. I could see the bandages that wrapped around her shoulder and entire torso. They must have put something on her burn to help it heal and wrapped it in bandages to keep the burn clean.

"She looks so fragile." Daisya said.

"I have never seen her look this way." I replied, moving some hair away from her face. Ko'lae meowed and jumped onto the bed. She lightly walked along the edge of the bed and layed down beside Mimiteh and rested her head on Mimiteh's rib cage. Unmei was curled up next to Mimiteh's head.

"How long do you think she will be asleep?" Daisya asked.

"I don't know." I replied.

I remember Kanda trying to save me and the hot iron pressing into my shoulder. I had the dream again and woke up with a splitting headache and I jolted upright. It hurt to move my right arm so I held my head with my left hand and cried.

"Mimiteh, are you alright?" Someone asked me. I shook my head and cried in pain. Someone touched my right shoulder and I somehow knew that they were close to me. I turned to them and cried into their chest, hoping it was Kanda or my parents. Arms gently wrapped around me and I welcomed the gesture. After hours of me crying, the pain finally went away and I looked up at the person holding me. It was Kanda and he had a concerned look on his face.

"Are you alright?" He asked.

"My shoulder and head hurt." I whispered.

"You suffered a major burn to your shoulder." He told me. I sighed and felt something drip down my forehead. I touched my forehead and looked at the scarlet liquid staining my fingers.

"Your head is bleeding." Kanda told me. I sighed and lowered my hand.

"You should heal and have full use of your shoulder and hand in no time." He said. I nodded and leaned my head against his chest. I listened to the sound of his heart and breathing and relaxed. My shoulder was starting to hurt and I tried to focus on the rhythm of Kanda's breathing to forget the pain.

"Does your shoulder hurt?" Kanda asked me. I nodded slightly and sat up to look at him. Someone knocked on the door and Daisya and Tiedoll walked in.

"You're awake." Daisya said. I nodded and looked at my hand.

"The akuma did this." I sighed. Tiedoll nodded and handed Kanda something to eat.

"How long have I been asleep?" I asked.

"It's been three days." Daisya replied. A doctor walked in and smiled at me.

"Good, You're awake." He said. I nodded and looked at my shoulder as best I could.
