I stared at the window, lost in my thoughts when Ko'lae's tail brushed my chin.
"Morning M." Ko'lae yawned.
"Morning K." I replied. I sat up and watched the rain.
"Couldn't sleep?" Ko'lae asked me. I nodded and stood, hearing the quiet tap of my shoes clicking onto the stone floor.
"You forgot to take off your gear." Ko'lae acknowledged.
"Yeah. I did." I sighed. I pulled my hair down and ran my hands through it brushing it as much as possible. After about twenty minutes I finally pulled my hair back into it's braid, starting at the crown of my head and french braided my hair down my head and into it's normal braid. Someone knocked on the door and it opened.
"Oh good you're awake." Lenalee smiled. I nodded and she smiled at me, walking through the door.
"You have a mission and I noticed you didn't have any other clothes than the ones on you so I brought you these." Lenalee said, handing me a hat and a folded coat.
"I can buy my own." I replied.
"It's no problem. You can have them." She replied. I could tell she was serious and sighed, I wasn't going to get her to change her mind.
"Thank you." I smiled. I pulled my hair into the hat and slid into the coat. It was a nice fit and I could move easily.
"Can you lead me to wherever i'm supposed to go for this mission." I asked. Ko'lae jumped into my arms and meowed at Lenalee.
"That's right you don't know where Komui's office is." Lenalee remembered. I nodded and she walked to the door.
"Just follow me." She smiled walking out the door. I followed her and shut the door behind me. "This place is like a giant maze." I said with a slight chuckle.
"Yes it is like one." Lenalee said. She stopped at a door and knocked."Oh you're here." Komui said happily as we entered. His office was a mess, there was papers all over the floor, books scattered on the shelves and the floor, and what I think to be old food or dishes.
"We just need to wait for Kanda and you will debriefed." Komui smiled.
"Who's Kanda?" Ko'lae asked me. I really didn't know.
"I don't know." I explained honestly. A minute later the strange exorcist I saw last night walked in and scowled when he saw me.
"I'm not a babysitter." He complained. I looked at him and rolled my eyes.
"I'm not a guardian." I sighed. He was really getting on my nerves and I only just met him.
"You two are going to Verona Italy." Komui began. I didn't realize that Lenalee left, leaving me in this disaster of an office and with two men that I already hated. He scowled at me and shifted my weight, annoyance slipping into my stance.
"What are we supposed to do there?" I asked.
"There has been multiple cases of children and elderly people disappearing there. It's no doubt the work an akuma." Komui explained. I nodded and looked at the exorcist I was standing next to.
"Let's get this over with." I sighed walking out of the room. He followed me and I fell silently into step beside him as we walked out of the order and into the town. I looked straight ahead of me and followed him to the train station. When we boarded the train I noticed a man dressed in tan with a what looked like bandages on the lower half of his face.
"Master Kanda." He said.
"Toma." The exorcist, Kanda, said. Toma opened the door to a private car and motioned for us to walk in. I followed Kanda and sat down opposite of him. "What is with this guy?" Ko'lae asked.
