I didn't know how she did it, but Rose was able to keep a smile on her face even when her eyes were filled with pain. I followed Kanda and Rose to a personal car and thought of ways that might be helpful for Rose to control the pain.

"So what's this mission, mom?" Rose asked me.

"It's a rescue mission, a few scientists in the area of Warsaw have been framed for a murder crime." I explained.

"So they are sending us to bail them out?" She asked.

"That, and to see if it's innocence related." I replied, nodding.

"If it is, then we need to get it done quickly." Kanda said.

"I feel the same way." I replied.

"Why?" Rose asked.

"The sooner we get this over with the sooner I can continue to figure out how your father and I can help you." I replied.

"Why would I need help?" She asked.

"Your father tells me that sometimes the noah inside of someone can be hard to control. It might just be hard for you to control so we want to be there to help you." I explained.

"I will be fine on my own." She replied.

"You may have been able to handle everything else in your life, but you will need help with this, you can't handle everything like it won't kill you." I snapped. Rose didn't look at me and looked out the window instead. Kanda looked at me then to Rose but didn't say anything. I wanted to know how much pain and struggle Rose had to endure and shoulder in the years that she spent alone. There was silence after that and all Rose did was sit beside Kanda and look out the window. Occasionally she would fall asleep and sleep peacefully for a few minutes, but she would wake up as the nightmare of hers began.

After a day or two I finally got tired of the silence and looked at Rose.

"Rose..." I began, she ignored me.

"Why didn't you try to find me until I was part of the order?" Rose asked, pulling the black fabric from her forehead.

"I didn't know where you were." I began.

"Why didn't you come after me?" She asked.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"When Marcus took me, why didn't you come after us?" She asked.

"Because I knew Marcus would take care of you." I replied.

"Take care of me?" She replied, confusion in her voice.

"Did he not take care of you?" I asked.

"He left me to die in an abandoned building, cold, alone, and sick." She replied.

"I'm sure he had a good reason." I replied.

"I found his grave, he married and had three sons." She explained, touching her slightly bleeding forehead.

"He might have done it to give you the best shot." I replied, handing her a small cloth that I had. She dabbed at her forehead with it, looking at her reflection when she was done.

"The stigmata are easier to see now." She sighed.

"They will go away." I replied.

"How do you know?" She asked me. Kanda was being quiet and listening to the conversation with an uninterested look on his face.
