Chapter 25

I kept having that dream where I would see Road and Tyki and feel the pain in my head. I was in a light sleep when someone knocked on my door. I opened my eyes and walked slowly to my door. I opened the door and saw Kanda standing there. He smiled at me and took my hand in his. I smiled back and looked into his eyes. Now that I was really looking at his eyes closely, I saw the most beautiful side of them. His eyes were so dreamy, I got lost in them.

"How are you?" He asked me.

"I'm fine." I replied. He smiled and wrapped his arms around me. I wrapped my arms around him and rested my head on his chest. He held me close to him and I listened to his heart beat. After a few moments I looked up at him and he leaned closer to me. I smiled and felt his lips press against mine. My heart began to race and I lifted my hand to his cheek. I loved him, I truly loved him and would admit it.

"Kanda? Mimiteh?" Someone asked. I pulled away out of shock and looked at the person. Miranda was standing in the entrance to the hallway and she was staring at us.

"Hello Miranda." I sighed.

"Are you two..." She began.

"Yes we are." Kanda and I replied at the same time. I smiled at him and she gaped at us.

"Please don't tell anyone yet." I said.

"Uhhhhhh, Mimiteh you're needed in the command room." She said backing away. I nodded and looked at Kanda. He kissed my forehead and stood by his door with a smile.

"Thank you." I said. He smiled even bigger and I think I saw him blush. I smiled and walked to Komui's office. Ko'lae joined me and Unmei flew around my head. It was like Unmei was excited and Ko'lae was expecting something. I knocked on the door and opened it.

"How much do you want to bet that we have a mission." Ko'lae meowed.

"I won't accept a mission." I replied, not realizing I said it out loud.

"Your voice is hoarse." She told me. I picked her up and didn't reply.

"You came out of your room." Komui said. I nodded slightly and watched Unmei as she flew around the room.

"WIll you stop that already?" I asked. Unmei landed on the head of a woman.

She had fair skin, gray eyes that resembled what mine used to look like, short black hair, black pants, a red, short sleeved shirt, and black, ankle high boots with a small heel. Next to her was Tyki, only he was dressed in black pants and a white dress shirt. The last time I saw him he had a black dress coat on. I noticed a mole under his left eye and took a deep breath.

"Hello Unmei." The woman said. There was something about her voice that I knew. It was a vague memory, but I had heard her voice before.

"Mom?" I whispered. She stood up and smiled at me.

"It's good to see you again baby." She smiled. More than anything I was shocked, I had heard my mom's voice before, but I never knew that she was looking for me.

"You two look exactly alike." Komui stated. He was calm and I could tell it was just for show. As if on cue, my mother and myself looked at him and he looked us.

"The only difference is the red streak in Mimeteh's hair and her brown eyes." he continued.

"The last time I saw you, you were only five" my mom said.

I looked at her and smiled, I had so many emotions right now, I didn't know what to do about it.

"It's been fourteen years, you look younger than I would have thought you would." she said. I looked away and heard Ko'lae meow.
