"You never told me Arlo worked for you" i stated to my dad mock accusingly.
"Oh my that really did just completely slip my mind, so did you see him then?"
"Yep I went for a walk in the garden and he scared the life out of me popping up out of the bushes jeez" I laughed and so did he.
"You wanna ham sandwich?" He asked
"Yeah thanks"
"Ir would be nice for you two to hang out again ahh your really where a cute little pair"
I rolled my eyes " yeah I think I'll ask him if he wants to".
I woke up the next morning briefly confused. Until I realised where I was all of the memories of yesterday flooded back to me in a rush and I smiled. I checked my phone, there was a text from Carter and Ivy both saying good morning it was nine am here so they would have just gotten up for school. I laughed to myself. I got to do my schoolwork online. This was heaven. I replied to both of their texts and the got out of bed to start getting ready. I came downstairs to a note on the table in the kitchen. 'Gone to work will be back at 4pm surprise coming at 10' I sighed I was hoping to spend today with dad but oh well. The thought of the surprise Consumed my mind trying to guess what it was. I couldn't come up with anything conclusive and when ten o'clock finally came around I was practically standing by the door waiting. There was a knock I startled into action and opened it excitedly. "Surprise!" Arlo was wearing a sweatshirt and jeans he looked so cozy. As soon as I saw him I smiled this was so exiting. "I'm here to show you around" he smiled confidently. "Oh my god really!".
By the end of the day I was shattered. Arlo has shown me practically the whole town. The gardens, the beautiful pond full with fish and ducks, the little shops on the high street that sold some of the best smelling food I had ever experienced. We talked for ages about what had happened over the years and caught up on the big things we had missed. Birthdays, his sixteen was spent in Spain. And how schools was, family and friends Exeter.
