Headspace| part 6

"Oh my god, you were with Carter" Ivy squealed. She shook my shoulders excitedly and I laughed my cheeks burning red "omg what happened your blushing" she turned me to look at her we were in front of her car "he um he kissed me".
Her jaw fell open again "oh my god seriously" she jumped up and down and squealed. "yep" I sang. my smile was so wide it almost reached the whole way across my face.
We got into the car. Ivy knew that I was not in the right headspace to answer questions so instead she turned on the radio and we started to sing along.
I got back home at eleven thirty my mum seemed a little surprised by this but she gave me a hug before I went to bed I kissed my Nana on the cheek then headed up stairs.
I was so excited I found it almost impossible to sleep but somehow I managed it.
I was awake an hour before my alarm , exited and nervous I couldn't wait to get to school and see him.
I spent way to long planning my outfit and then spent another way to long a time doing my hair and make up .when I finally was ready it was nearly time to leave so I rushed down stairs to grab a bit of breakfast. "Good morning darling" my mum cooed as I walked into the kitchen my Nana gave me a quick smile she was sitting on the sofa in the living room her feet propped up on the coffee table and a fluffy blanket covering her lap. Both my mother and grandma where small women and I had out grown them both years ago.
"Mum I have to go in a min" I rushed over to the cupboard and started rummaging through it looking for the rice crispy's. "I'm taking your Nan to the doctors again today so the key will be in the usual spot" she informed me as I poured the cereal into the bowl and grabbed the milk "oh yeah and your dad's coming over from France on business but he said he wanted to see you" I paused and turned to look at her the happiness and excitement seeping away for a few moments. I shook I'm head "I don't want to see him" I whispered looking down at my cereal. She shrugged and walked out of the room. The anger I felt gently simmered away as I dropped my bowl and spoon into the sink and marched to the front door to grab my shoes.
Ivy couldn't pick me up on Wednesdays something about helping her cousin with a ride to work , so i had to get the bus. Lucky for me it was only a two minute walk to the stop and a ten minute wait until it arrived. I didn't know anyone on the bus and sitting next to people was always awkward so I just sit quietly put my feet up and plug my headphones into my ears. The woman I sat next to that day was early twenties blond and quite pretty she was scrolling through her phone with a distant expression on her face. It was a funny feeling to realise that this woman too had her own life with friends and family.
I got to school it was raining so I rushed into the building. No one was outside of the school only kids entering. Two teachers stood either side of the door .that's when I saw the crazy blond hair bobbing around ahead of me.
Carter was taller than all his friends and was only a few meters ahead . He was smiling and laughing and then he turned down a corridor whilst I continued straight. I needed to go to my locker.
I weaved through the people until I reached my locker. Ivy and I had decorated both of of our lockers at the beginning of the year with loads of random stickers we bought at the supermarket and put up pictures of cute baby animals I put up a picture of a frog with a mushroom hat. I opened it and reached inside to get my geography book when there was a light couch beside me I jumped , and whipped around to see him leaning against the locker next to me smiling charmingly. "Hello" his voice was like velvet deep and smooth "hi" I felt wobbly and blushed. "How are you this morning?" He said as he slowly reached his hand to brush my hai out of my face. I looked into his eyes and smiled "I'm feeling a lot better now"
He bent down and his face inches from mine, he ran hi thumb along my forehead to my cheek and down to my chin he pulled my face so I was looking directly at him he smiled his angelic features forming the perfect smile. "You look lovely today but the way"
"So do you" I replied he blushed
"Can i kiss you?" He asked as he leaned closer
"Yes" I said a little flustered.
He pushed his lips to mine and cupped my chin in his hands . His lips where soft and warm and felt magical. We stayed there for a few seconds. And then he slowly pulled away .
"Do you want to meet up at lunch?" He inquired "sure where?"
"The library"
"Ok I will see you there" i blushed again. He leaned over my shoulder and took out my geography book he handed it to me brushed his hand up my arm and then walked away.
