"I'll let you decide between these two options." She said.

The dim lights of the alley seemed glints of hope in the pitch black darkness of the world, illuminating just enough to let (Y/N) see the red haired woman in front of him.

"You'll either die by my hand, as a devil." Again, she used that artificial condescending tone on her voice as she stared at the state on which he was left in, focusing onhis burnt hands, and made (Y/N) feel things he couldn't even describe. "Or you can accept my offer, keep your humanity, and help me with a little project."

"Is this a contract?" (Y/N) said.

"Oh, no it's not." She giggled at the question, a glistening bright shone on her eyes as she stared at him, those same inhuman yellow eyes. "I'm simply asking for your help and it just so happens to be a wonderful opportunity for you."

"You know very well I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place."

"Yes, I do." She giggled again.

The inside of the matte black car was astonishingly comfortable, even more so, for a person who had been living on the streets ever since he could tell. The tingling sensation in (Y/N) chest never stopped, that of burning fire anchored right on his heart, but rather intensified the moment this mysterious lady gave him her own black coat to keep him warm.

The warmth of the garment, its tender touch, and the softness of the seats were enough to make him drift off to sleep in a couple of seconds, awfully exhausted as every part of his body kept aching and burning, his muscles sore and the adrenaline dosing off slowly. He tried so hard not to fall asleep in that moment, although his attempts proven futile after a little longer, and the redhead lady didn't even flinch the moment (Y/N)'s head hit the back of the passenger's seat.

"Are you-?" She tried to talk to him for a brief moment before realizing he was fast asleep already, a gentle sigh left her lips after that.

The sunlight blinded (Y/N) as it rose on the sky, penetrating through the polarized windows of the car and forcing his eyes open. He was already trying to switch back into a more comfortable position to keep sleeping when a sudden voice made him jump before looking back.

"So you are finally awake." The redhead lady said.

"Oh, I thought I was the only one here," (Y/N) said, looking at the empty passenger's and driver's seat, rubbing both his eyes as he struggled to get up from the strange position he had been sleeping in. "Wait, are we there yet?"

"Yes, we've arrived this place quite a while ago. I was only waiting for you to wake up."

"Oh."

(Y/N) tried squinting his eyes the moment he stepped out of the car, as the sun's light was still too much for him. The streets were, still, quite humid after yesterday's early downpour, and the light fragrant of freshly wet soil was a pretty nostalgic smell.

And before him, a large building stood tall to hold glory to the enclosure as a whole. It resembled a beacon of light, the tarnished white of its painting, sign of an old fashion and respectable history, made contrast in the polished bronze of the details in its architecture, and (Y/N) counted at least seven floors. The welcoming entrance, resembling a porch, two glass doors waited open for them both there.

"These are the Devil Hunter's Headquarters. "The woman said, as she took a step forwards towards the place, looking back at him as she did so, her gaze never leaving his eyes. "It may seem pretty dull now, but you'll learn to love it with enough time."
