For as long as he remembered, (Y/N) was alone.
The neon lights would normally light up the empty streets, reflected on the cold and damp floor in mesmerizing tones of red and blue. He liked paper lanterns, hanging to lit up in warm lights on the cold nights, not as invasive or artificial as the neon signs, and in complete contrast to the could touch of the pavement on his feet.
He was aware, however, of the ironic of these shades of light, and the completely opposite way they represented the city. The normally gathering crowds on the streets felt strange, empty even or shallow, towards the rest of the world. Isolated on their own mind, they would normally walk across these cheery streets focused on their own ways, and the depressing state of their own. Busy people, going nowhere.
A perpetual rain of missing opportunities
These observations were obviously made from a young mind. Small divagations of a fragmented mind that reminded only the scent of her to dance with him.
Were his screams just a whisper?
Castaway to rest on the veil of the moon, he would often wonder over the puncturing lights of the stars, and dreaming of the lasting memory of a longer night, was warmed by the first hour of morning light.
And he would cry, over the coursing clouds of a waning storm as he lay down on the same pavements. The sudden reflections of glass on the occasional building showing his image, that of a young boy loving the soak of the rain.
He was never shown how to return the love someone could give to him.
(Y/N) knew he had probably made a mistake by letting himself fall so easily on Power's persuasion.
So here he was now; getting dragged through the streets of Tokyo, his hand vigorously held by Power. She had got up from the bed way earlier than anyone had ever expected that morning, only to wake him up seconds after yelling excitedly about leaving the house for once and some other things he wasn't able to understand at the moment.
"Come on now!" Power exclaimed as she dragged him down the streets, running towards the only fast food local she knew of, as (Y/N) had insisted for her to chose where she would like to go. "I'm hungry!" (Y/N) noticed her scarlet horns had grown to their normal size once again, and felt glad knowing he had been able to help her.
The fast food local they had arrived remembered (Y/N) of the restaurant they visited the night of the fourth division's party. The interior felt cozy, gently illuminated by warm lamps on the walls that merged nicely on the dark tones of the varnished wood of the furniture and the polished cream color of the tiles on the floor. (Y/N) had previously asked Power what type of place she would like to visit first, and was slightly surprised after she thrillingly suggested visiting a fast food local.
They took a seat on one of the corner's tables, right next to a window that looked to the street. Power kept fidgeting with her fingers as she waited for the waiter, looking at the window. (Y/N) was still nervous; he had been feeling that way since Power woke him up that morning. This was the first time he had been on a date in his entire life, and so, he kept staring nervously at the varnished wood of the table as they waited. He would usually shoot brief glances, darting between Power and the window, until her eyes suddenly met his, and the two of them exchanged a quick smile.
"Sorry, can I take your order?" The waiter asked, as he approached their table. His dark eyes, almost covered by his raven hair, darted between the two of them clearly taking notice of Power's protruding scarlet horns.
"Uh, bring me two burgers, human! The big ones, you know, double patty and all that stuff!" Power was swift to order, and the waiter had to take quick notes. "Also, I want a large box of fries, extra crisp, the best ones you have!" (Y/N) looked at her intently, staring at this new facet of Power she would only uncover when talking about food. "Oh, and be sure to not include any of those disgusting vegetables you always put on burgers! I mean it, put a single lettuce in that and I'll break your le-!"
