𝐀𝐑𝐋𝐎 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐎𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 couch in hopper's cabin, her knees up to her chest while her arms were wrapped around them. max had been able to calm the harrington girl down from her panic attack. she still had tear trails on her cheeks, staring blankly ahead as she told everyone what she had seen. el and max were on either side of of her on the couch, trying to bring as much comfort to the girl as they can. the sound of fireworks were going off in the distance, everybody celebrating the fourth of july.

"he said he was building something. that it was all for el and me." arlo mumbled.

"building something? is he talking about the flayed?" max quizzed, wrapping her arms around arlo's shoulders.

"he must be." nancy mumbled.

"so, he's building an arm, just like we thought." lucas confirmed, pacing the small area behind the couch.

"yeah, but he's not building this army to spread." mike pointed out.

"he's building it to stop arlo and el." will added.

"last year, el closed the gate on him. i have a feeling that really pissed him off." mike started.

"like, royally." lucas mumbled.
