𝐀𝐑𝐋𝐎 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐒𝐀𝐓 𝐁𝐄𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐃 𝐃𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐍, her leg anxiously bouncing. she was looking down at the envelope that was in her hand, the same envelope that max had given her earlier. a "fail safe." arlo knew exactly what max had meant by that, and that scared her. the possibility of losing max scared her. sure, she had only know the mayfield girl for over two years, but she didn't really remember what life was like before that. she didn't want to lose that. she didn't want to lose max.
"turn here." max instructed, gaining everyone's attention.
dustin turned his head to look back at her before looking back at the road to see where they were. he then looked back at the strawberry blonde, "here?"
max only nodded.
arlo's eyebrows furrowed slightly when she had noticed that the only place they could turn was into the cemetery. steve looked at his sister through the rearview mirror, having a deep line between his eyebrows. arlo simply shrugged, not really sure why max would want to go to the cemetery. the older harrington nodded, moving to make the left turn, apollo following behind them in his van. they went down the dirt road, only stopping when the tired marks had faded in with the overgrown grass. steve put the car in park, max not wasting any time to get out. arlo was quick to follow after her, not being able to stop herself.
